I’ve spent the last few hours trying to configure advanced features within my WordPress installation to make my social sharing better.
I could have spent that time doing a lot of better things with my life.
- I could have went for a walk with my awesome dogs.
- I could have spent time helping people.
- I could have spent that time creating cool content.
- I could have brainstormed better ways to teach courses.
To make a long story short, I finally undid all of the work that I’ve accomplished thus far today. I finally came to conclude that it’s much better to simplify everything.
So, I may have wasted the better part of the day messing with stuff that didn’t even work, but I gained something far more valuable in return.
I gained the freedom to live life as a minimalist, which is something I’m going to try to focus harder upon.
(Which brings me to the topic of Raspberry Pi and Linux, something that I’m anxious to chat more with you about. It will change the way the world learns, and lives. More on that at a later time).
For now, the life lesson, is to never over-complicate stuff, and to, if possible, always live life as the minimalist; It’s much easier, and will allow you to focus on the things that truly matter in life. (Without suffering from technical overwhelm that plagues even the geekiest of us).
:]
Talk later… And please have a magnificent day.
