I’ve been blogging (or otherwise) creating web content nearly every single day since 2010.
I don’t say that to brag or anything, much of my work has been a dismal (and epic) failure, lol. Some might even say an epic waste of time, and effort.
However, one thing I can say for sure; one thing that will actually work in 2018, is email marketing.
The reason for that, is simple really. Email marketing is the single best way to communicate with almost anybody, in a “one to many” mechanism, that’s, fascinatingly, also a personal “one to one” message.
Email marketing brings massive power, to the small entrepreneur, who doesn’t have a big marketing budget, or arguably, any marketing budget at all.
This is unique to the world of email marketing, which is why email has a significant advantage over other methods of communication, even in today’s world of innovation and techno wizardry.
Because you can have the biggest social media following on the planet. That doesn’t mean you can reach your followers one on one, though.
Because as you know, social media messages are often lost in the shuffle. Unless you’re some massive personality or famous celebrity, email marketing smokes social media, simply because it’s far more personalized, direct, and intimate. Best of all, there are virtually no limitations as to the content you may send with email, well, within reason, hehe.
That’s why email marketing is so different. It’s personalized communication, it’s dirt cheap, and it’s the best way to communicate with the masses, in my opinion.
This is especially true if you’re on a budget, or if your audience is tiny. (Like most of us independent, small, and personal bloggers, our audiences are indeed, tiny).
I’ll go one step further and say that email marketing is totally free. There are more than a handful of FREE email marketing platforms these days, which allow you up to 1,000 subscribers totally free.
Would you rather have 1,000 social media followers, or 1,000 email subscribers who knew you, liked you, and trusted you?
To me, the answer is simple.
Email marketing rules the roost in 2018, and so it shall be, in my lifetime at least.
Talk later, yo.
Wishing you the best for 2018, and for the remainder of your days.
