Are You A Frustrated, Lost, Or Struggling Freelancer? Then Check This Out!
In this epic and bombastic blog post, I’m going to help brainstorm some of the biggest freelancing platforms on the planet.
While I tried to focus on freelance writing for this particular list, there are also other freelancing platforms that don’t cater specifically (or at all) to freelance writing on this list; those resources have been included due to their outstanding merit, in any event.
Either way, I’ll try my best to keep this list updated and I try my best to only include the best of the best freelance marketplaces.
Because maybe you want to start freelancing, or freelance writing, or maybe you want to hire a freelancer, but you’re just not sure where to start?
If that’s the case, then this document is for you, and I hope that you have fun reading!
Freelancing Resource # 1 – 99Designs.com
99Designs.com – Did you know that I have a Certificate Of Proficiency in Graphic Communications?! Graphic Design is something that I personally love, which is why I’m a huge fan of 99Designs.com!
99Designs is a very unique and special platform, where freelance designers actually compete in contests from different Small Business Owners and other Clients who need graphic design.
So, let’s say that a Small Business wants a logo. Instead of hiring a traditional Marketing Agency or Graphic Design Studio, the Business Owner could start a contest using 99Designs!
The Business Owner would then get a bunch of graphic designers submitting their proposals to the project, which is very exciting and cool.
As a designer, you could submit your proposed artwork, and hopefully get some valuable insights, tips, and experience as a result.
Freelancing Resource # 2 – Craigslist.org
Craigslist.org – Craigslist is actually an underrated tool for freelancers, especially because there are probably jobs in your hometown now seeking a wide variety of services!
If you have lots of time on your hands, and if you find yourself constantly struggling to find clients, then Craigslist is definitely worth checking out.
(Look for local jobs in your area, and then let the prospective employers know that it might be much more cost effective to hire your freelancing services than to hire a fulltime employee! Hey, it’s worth a shot, right?).
Freelancing Resource # 3 – Fiverr.com
Fiverr.com – Fiverr.com is personally one of my favorite freelancing platforms simply because the main feature of Fiverr.com is affordability!
This is cool for a few different reasons. First of all, if you are in the market for a freelancer, Fiverr.com often times offers the fastest and easiest results.
Additionally, if you ever wish to work as a freelancer, it can be really easy to create a gig right on Fiverr.com, and these days they even have advertising options so you can promote your gig.
If you’re a freelance writer struggling to get clients, then it doesn’t hurt to create your gig on Fiverr!
Freelancing Resource # 4 – Freelancer.com
Freelancer.com – Freelancer is another tremendously massive outsourcing platform for those who wish to hire freelancers, and also for those who wish to promote their own freelancing services.
Freelancer.com is a powerful resource for freelance writers, freelance designers, freelance coders, and just about any other type of freelancer.
Freelancer.com also owns the WarriorForum.com, which is a tremendously popular internet forum of which I’ll speak more about later on in this post!
Freelancing Resource # 5 – Guru.com
Guru.com – There are a few reasons why you might want to consider Guru.com if you’re a freelancer, or if you ever need to hire a freelancer.
First of all, Guru.com is largely popular and has well over 3,000,000 (that’s three million) members!
Additionally, Guru.com boasts that they have paid well over 250,000,000 (two hundred and fifty million) dollars to their freelancing community!
So, if you’re a freelance writer, a freelance coder, or any type of freelancer, Guru.com is worth checking out and learning more about.
Freelancing Resource # 6 – Iwriter.com
Iwriter.com – Iwriter.com is all about offering written content without the high price! If you’re ever in the market for inexpensive SEO articles, then Iwriter is definitely worth checking out.
Another cool thing about Iwriter.com is that it’s very easy to apply and write for jobs here. The only downside is that clients can easily deny your work when submitted on this website, so there’s no guarantee that the end user will accept and therefore pay for your work.
That being said, it’s very easy to apply, and if you love to write, then Iwriter.com can be fun to check out and experiment with.
Freelancing Resource # 7 – KolabTree.com
KolabTree.com – Kolabtree is very specific because it’s narrowly focused on scientific research and academic professionals who wish to hire extremely educated writers and analysts.
If you have a scientific degree, and wish to contribute your refined focus and education into some interesting freelance work, then KolabTree is definitely worth learning more about.
Freelancing Resource # 8 – PeoplePerHour.com
PeoplePerHour.com – This is an awesome, and very easy to use platform for freelancers! One of the main things that I love about PeoplePerHour.com, is transparency.
For example, when you’re browsing for jobs on their platform, you can tell how many jobs the job creator has started, which to me is hugely powerful, and can be a great indicator of which jobs are worth your time and hassle.
Freelancing Resource # 9 – ProBlogger Job Board
ProBlogger Job Board – This, in my opinion, is the single best place to find freelance writing jobs!
The reason why I love ProBlogger Job Board, is because this is arguably one of the most popular places for job creators to post their writing jobs.
If you’re a freelance writer, or if you want to learn more about what types of jobs are red hot now in the freelance writing world, definitely check out The ProBlogger Job Board, they rock!
Freelancing Resource # 10 – TopTal.com
TopTal.com – TopTal is all about high-quality freelancers. Some of the biggest names in the world (such as airbb and zendesk) have trusted and relied upon TopTal.
If you’re ever in the market for Finance Expertise, Development, Business Management, or Project Management, or if you wish to offer your skills as a freelancer, then TopTal is worth checking out.
TopTal isn’t really known for their freelance writing services, however, it’s definitely worth including in this list simply because they are a premium freelancing company worthy of knowing more about.
Freelancing Resource # 11 – UpWork.com
Upwork.com – Upwork.com is arguably one of the single biggest and most popular freelancing platforms on the planet. The cool thing about Upwork is that it’s not only specifically for freelance writers, and there are other hugely popular freelancing gigs here.
Some of the most popular skills listed on Upwork.com right now are Android Development, Data Science, Content Writing, Copywriter, Blockchain, eLearning and more.
Freelancing Resource # 12 – WarriorForum.com
The WarriorForum rocks, and to be brutally honest, I’ve spent many countless HUNDREDS or even THOUSANDS of hours on the WarriorForum! (I have many thousands of posts on the forum, yes, I am a nerd lol).
WarriorForum.com is an internet marketing forum that is actually owned by FreeLancer.com.
The reason why the WarriorForum rocks, is because this is the largest marketing forum, as far as I know, on the entire planet.
As a result, there are often times other entrepreneurs, marketers, and small business owners who are looking for writers and other freelancers.
Definitely check out the “Warriors Looking To Hire You” section. There’s also a section on the forum where you can advertise your own services if you wish.
(I believe that there is a $20 fee to advertise your business on the WarriorForum, however, WarriorForum is often changing their policies and forum boards, so please keep your eye on the WarriorForum for their latest policies, prices, forum sections, and updates).
Thanks So Much For Reading This!
