All entrepreneurs could benefit from having a blog.
First, it allows you to attract people who are just like you.
Second, it allows you to promote all of your pages (lead capture pages, sales pages, service pages, social media pages).
Third, if you do it in the right way, people will actually share your content, (this is the only reliable method of “content marketing” in my opinion).
But, What’s The Secret To Actual Blog Longevity?
I’ve quit more blogs than anyone I know.
I’ve had blogs on Politics, Computer Science, Tech Stuff, Reviews (Pitching Machines, Solar Panels, Portable Generators, you name it), Internet marketing, and just about any other topic under the sun.
But, only a select handful remain.
So, What’s My Actual Advice?
My advice is to write about stuff that you actually care about.
That’s how you can ensure that your content remains in steady flow for years to come.
A lot of guru experts say to pick stuff that can make you the most money. So, their niche advice is to follow the dollars.
That May Be True… But Be Warned…
If you don’t care about your niche, and you find it boring?
I can almost guarantee you’ll never stick around.
So, what I’m really trying to say…
Is if you want to be a blogger long term (And there are NO advantages to being a short term blogger, so I hope you do)…
You should write about stuff that you actually care about.
If You’d Like To Learn More…
You’ll discover not only how to write fast, but why writing in this way helps to attract people who are just like you.
So you can finally not only have good stuff to write about, but you’ll actually enjoy writing, and your end users will thank you for it.
That my friend, is why blogging is so powerful these days, but don’t do it for the wrong reasons.
