Awesome Affiliate Marketing Strategies.
In this blog post, I’m going to brainstorm and elaborate more about affiliate marketing, and also what I believe to be the single most important strategy for affiliate marketers.
First it’s so important to talk about what affiliate marketing is, why affiliate marketing rocks, and why affiliate marketing keeps getting more and more powerful.
What Is Affiliate Marketing?
Simply put, affiliate marketing is when you promote someone else’s products or services, and if you make sales then you get a cut of the commissions.
The reason why affiliate marketing rocks, is because you as an affiliate marketer don’t have to offer any products or services yourself. You don’t have to worry about technical support, fulfillment, customer support, or anything really.
How Do Affiliates Get Credit For Sales That They Make?
Whenever you join an affiliate program, or an affiliate network, you are given something referred to as an “affiliate link”.
Your affiliate link is totally unique to you, and it uses cookies in order to track your visitors and sales.
So, as an affiliate marketer, your main goal is to simply promote your affiliate link. So in theory, you could earn commissions simply by sharing your affiliate link, and you don’t have to offer your own products, or even any customer support, which is why I love affiliate marketing.
Of course, one advanced affiliate marketing strategy is to indeed offer awesome customer support, however, theoretically, affiliate marketers have one goal and one goal only, and that’s to promote their affiliate links.
The Best Affiliate Marketing Strategy?
I’ve been so lucky over the years to get to interact with tons of students, readers, colleagues and IT geeks who love affiliate marketing.
One common question that colleagues often wonder about, is how the heck they can get people to click on their affiliate links.
As you know, this is probably one of the most important things for affiliate marketers, right?
Because if you can’t get others to click on your affiliate links, then you never have a shot to make any affiliate commissions.
Well, one important strategy I’d like to share is that you need to create awesome content in one way or the other that other people will find valuable.
I’m going to reveal a few of my favorite strategies in a moment, however, I just wanted to clearly dictate my favorite strategy, and that strategy is to create powerful content that helps people.
Always ask yourself; what audience are you trying to serve? What type of questions and frustrations does your ideal audience have?
If you can successfully and realistically answer those questions, then I believe that you’ll have much better luck as an affiliate marketer, or anyone who creates any type of content.
How To Get People To Click On Your Affiliate Links?
People won’t read your emails, or click on your recommended affiliate products just the for the heck of it!
If you have email subscribers, blog readers, students, fans, or colleagues who are actively reading and clicking your emails, and if they actually appreciate your content, then, in my opinion, you’ll be in a better position to make offers to your audience.
How To Promote Your Affiliate Links With Email Marketing And Email Newsletter Publishing
Running an email newsletter is one of the coolest ways to share your content with your audience, especially if you love to write content.
I honestly think that email marketing is the single best way to promote just about anything.
More specifically, I think that having an awesome lead generation funnel, a squeeze page funnel, or any type of opt-in funnel can be an awesome way to generate email leads.
These days, in the world of social media and video, it’s so easy to overlook the ridiculous power of email marketing.
But always remember this; your email newsletter is an asset that you own and it’s a really nifty way to communicate with your end users while trying your best to brand yourself, share your content, and it can also be a great way to promote your affiliate links.
As far as pitching your links in your email newsletter content, one of my favorite strategies is to simply finish the email content with a “PS” note at the end.
So maybe I could write something like this:
PS: If you appreciate this newsletter content, then be sure to check out this powerful resource that teaches you all about XYZ. If you are an ABC who wants to 123, then this resource is awesome!
Also remember that the hard part of running an email newsletter, is coming up with cool content ideas on an ongoing basis! All of this requires effort, grit, hard work, and of course, a little bit of luck.
How To Promote Your Affiliate Links On Your Blog
Blogging is another tremendously powerful way for affiliate marketers to share awesome content with their audience.
These days, most good affiliate programs will provide nifty banners that you can easily insert into the sidebar of your blog.
I’m always ranting that in my opinion, providing value, and creating content for your ideal prospect is the most important thing though. Creating good, high-quality content, in my opinion, is much more important than product placement.
Well, blogging is arguably the single easiest way that you can begin creating powerful content that’s designed for helping your prospects.
Blogging is also very cheap to get started, and it’s low profile. You don’t need to get dressed up, you don’t need to brush your hair, and you don’t need any fancy video equipment.
The only thing you need is the ability to utilize the written word, the ability to research your ideal prospects, and the passion and desire to help them!
Why Does Affiliate Marketing Keep Getting More And More Powerful?
The idea of affiliate marketing isn’t new; affiliate marketing has been around for a super long time.
What has changed though, especially in recent years, is the number of affiliate networks, and the variety of affiliate programs.
More and more massive organizations such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, ClickBank, Udemy, Skillshare, SkillSuccess, and MaxBounty have opened their doors to affiliates, providing to you, the affiliate marketer, a massive list of products that you can promote as an affiliate.
Over the last few years, there have been so many awesome affiliate marketplaces and affiliate products that you can promote as an affiliate in exchange for commissions.
Why I’m A Huge Fan Of Affiliate Marketing, And Why Learning About Affiliate Marketing Is So Important.
These days I spend a ton of time thinking about the future of work.
I honestly believe that automation, robotics, artificial intelligence and advanced software systems are all going to change the way that the world works in ways that most humans are totally unaware of.
I think that in the not too distant future, the economy is going to be impacted by all of these new technologies that have the potential to displace millions of workers worldwide.
That’s why I’m personally always trying to learn as much as I can about affiliate marketing, and other entrepreneurial endeavors because I honestly believe that being an entrepreneur is a tremendously powerful feature for the modern day human to have, this is especially true when you look 5, or 10 years into the future when automation, robotics, and artificial intelligence might make jobs that regular humans do, obsolete.
I know this is a little off topic, however, as a nerdy IT geek, I honestly think that in the not-too-distant-future, technologies are going to change the way that humans live in ways that we can’t even imagine yet, and as a result, being an entrepreneur is going to become more and more valuable I think, as time goes on.
Thank You So Much For Checking This Out! You Rock!
I love affiliate marketing, and I think that it’s one of the coolest hobbies that the average human can learn!
I hope that you had fun reading this document, and as always, I invite you to contact me if you have any questions.
