Here’s My Best Exercise For Improving Your Writing…
If there’s one thing that I absolutely love about technology, it’s that there are so many awesome ways to publish written content.
You can brainstorm, write and publish content nearly anywhere you want, anytime you feel the inspiration.
So, as a result, writing is something that I spend a ton of time focusing on.
Whether I’m creating course content, brainstorming blog posts, or writing tiny little email newsletters, I love, and am obsessed with writing.
But Guess What? I Still Suck At Writing!
That’s the funny part about writing.
You don’t really have to be the best writer in the world. These days, unlike the time of long since past, anybody can publish content. Even writers who frequently publish despite horrid and abysmal grammatical errors such as myself. 🙂
The good news, is that you don’t have to be perfect; if you write enough content, SOMEONE is going to notice it.
Make No Mistake, There Will Be A Percentage Of People Who HATE Your Content.
Here’s the major secret to becoming a better writer; it’s to focus on the people who actually LOVE your content.
You can’t please everyone, and every second wasted on those who do not gravitate towards your style is truly a waste.
Since You’re Still Reading This Content, Let Me Give You The Real Secret To Becoming A Better Writer.
The only thing you can do, is constantly write.
Never stop writing.
Always try to make your content so that it makes sense and is easier to read.
It doesn’t take long. If you can focus for 5 minutes per day, then that’s all you need to become a better writer.
Imagine If You Practiced Writing For Just 5 Minutes Per Day?
How much would this consistency be worth to you?
I’d wager, that it would be the best part of your day, and it would be 5 minutes well spent.
Because, you’d be focusing on something that you truly endeavor to improve.
Maybe You’re Thinking “But Mike, I Just Don’t Have 5 Minutes Per Day! That’s Way Too Much Effort!”.
But then let me ask you, how did you find this email newsletter?
Maybe you found it in an email that I sent you.
Or, maybe you even found it on Google.
Or, maybe someone posted it on Twitter, LinkedIn, or on Pinterest.
So, I propose to you, that you have plenty of time to spare.
You have everything it takes to become a better writer.
You Have The Time, And You Have The Desire To Be A Better Writer.
Now, the only thing you have to do, is break open notepad.exe, and start brainstorming.
And then tomorrow, do it again. And then the next day, and the next day, and the next day.
Sooner or later, what’s going to happen?
Talk later…
And have an awesome day.
Thank You So Much For Checking This Out!
Even though I write a ton of content, I’ll never consider myself a great writer.
I love to write. I write daily. But, I still suck. (Lol).
Writing is one of those things that can improve with exercise, though.
That’s why I’m always writing, and it’s why I’m so passionate about encouraging you to write every single day that you can.
Because it doesn’t take very long to write. It only takes 5 minutes.
Those simple 5 minute writing exercises have the potential to provide many gifts.
You’ll probably have a much higher chance of finding your true voice as a writer.
As a result, and before you know it, you’ll probably be writing more clearly.
And at that point, writing can be one of your favorite hobbies, for life.
And all it costs, is just 5 minutes per day. 🙂
