In this blog post, I’ll showcase everything I’ve ever learned about generating leads after studying email marketing and lead generation like a fanatic.
Why listen to me? Because I’ve added many thousands of leads via Solo Ads, have taught thousands of awesome students about lead generation on my Udemy courses, and am an email marketing fanatic.
And because… Generating leads is the one thing that everyone benefits from, big time. It’s also something that you are, statistically likely to be struggling with.
It doesn’t matter if you’re a doctor, lawyer, consultant, coach, website owner, actor, author, email marketer, teacher, blogger, astrophysicist or pastry chef.
The ability to economically generate leads, is probably the single most important variable that determines your success (or failure).
So, it’s no coincidence that most businesses fail, because they simply don’t generate enough leads.
The good news is that the process of generating leads for your business will always be the same.
The bad news is that there are a few different moving parts so it’s easy to get lost, technically overwhelmed or to otherwise suffer from analysis paralysis.
Step number one is always to know exactly what type of audience you’re trying to reach.
And I mean REALLY know exactly what type of audience. Dig deep and brainstorm to figure out as much as you possibly can about them.
- How old are they?
- Where do they live?
- How much money do they make?
- What sex are they?
- What frustrations do they have?
- How can you help them?
- What will it take for them to JOIN your email newsletter?
- What would they actually give you their email address for? (What type of lead magnet would they actually bend over backwards to get? Super important).
Step number two is to find your audience online. Thankfully, this has never been easier.
Consider the following three heavy hitting providers that can target any audience on the planet.
- Microsoft
Those three services will provide you with all of the advertising you could ever handle, and you’ll also be able to target your audience unfathomably well.
This is because, as you know, Facebook, Microsoft and Google all have a boatload of data on their end users. This makes it so simple for them to serve advertising to the exact audience that you specify, and even better, the ability to interact with your audience across multiple devices these days is extraordinary, leading to a breakthrough in the way you reach your audience.
Step three is another moving part that’s direly crucial, and so often neglected, which is your email marketing funnel.
Because if you advertise a regular sales page, a blog page, or any other page, you’re never getting the fullest potential out of that visitor. Especially if you’re shelling out your hard-earned cash for advertising.
It’s far superior, to advertise your lead capture page first, so you can build your email list thereby enabling you to establish massive rapport that can last a lifetime.
That’s why email marketing funnels are so important, for any business.
Because it frees you up to work on your business, instead of slaving away in your business.
Here’s a major detail that a lot of people miss.
When you have a beautiful email marketing sequence that’s fully automated, you’ll be able to automate the very best content that you’ve ever created.
So you can create your perfect content once, and then let that be your onboarding message for every single lead that you ever generate.
One major nuance of this entire idea, is that this further empowers every single website visitor that you ever get.
Whether you’re generating leads from Pay Per Click, Solo Ads, Blogging, Teaching, Writing, Publishing, Content Marketing, or any other method – you’re now drastically empowered because you won’t have to manually interact with each lead every time you get a new subscriber.
That’s why I’ve been passionate about email marketing for such a long time. Because it enables you to focus on growing your business, while all of your leads are soothed, nurtured, and sold to automatically.
To summarize, remember that these days it’s so easy to find your ideal audience. You don’t have to beg any experts, troll in Facebook groups, or hover over your laptop like a nervous wreck.
All you have to do, is figure out who your audience is, and then send them to your marketing funnel, and then let automation do all of the work.
You can introduce yourself, share your best content, presell your services, and deliver the best pitch that you can possibly muster, all automated.
Which frees you up to create better content and to brainstorm solutions for your ideal audience, without scurrying and panicking every time you get a new lead.
In the meantime, if you ever have any questions, remember that I personally read every email that you ever send me.
So, never be too shy to drop me a line, or simply REPLY to my email newsletter and ask.
Talk later, and have a magnificent day.
Cordially, and humbly yours.
