A ton of my awesome colleagues are always asking how to build a cool website.
One thing that I’m always shocked to discover, is that many people have no idea what it takes to build a website!
What I mean by that is they’re often confused about the exact requirements, such as a website host, a domain, and website content.
In fact, a few of my close colleagues still aren’t sure what the major difference is between a domain, web host, cpanel, WordPress, a Sales Funnel, lead capture page, et cetera.
One Question That You May Have Wondered Is What’s The Difference Between ClickFunnels And WordPress?
First of all, let’s spend a minute talking about WordPress.
WordPress is an open source and free content management system that anyone can use.
There are two flavors of WordPress. There’s WordPress.com, which is hosted by WordPress, and there’s WordPress.org, which you host on your own.
I Personally Use Both Versions Of WordPress And It’s One Of The Best Decisions I’ve Ever Made.
The reason I love WordPress, is because it’s so ridiculously easy to create beautiful blogs without knowing a single line of code.
Back in the day, I used to create websites using raw HTML, CSS, and HTML editors like Adobe Dreamweaver.
These programs, and having an of HTML was really useful in creating relatively decent websites.
WordPress however, permanently changed the way people create websites, because now anyone can create really cool looking websites without knowing a single line of code, and without being a four-eyed geek. (Like me).
So, What Does ClickFunnels Have To Do With WordPress?
WordPress is awesome. It’s something I’ve used nearly every single day since 2010, however, ClickFunnels is a totally different beast.
ClickFunnels is designed and focuses on advertising and selling your own products, through the art and science of the sales funnel.
So in other words, ClickFunnels creates really awesome looking web pages, however, the main purpose of these webpages is to SELL your products.
If you’re an author, teacher, affiliate marketer, network marketer, or any entrepreneur with something to sell, then you might be interested in ClickFunnels.
What’s The Difference Between A Blog, And A Sales Funnel?
A sales funnel is designed to sell more of your products, and to build your email list. That’s the main point of a sales funnel.
A sales funnel might contain webpages such as your lead capture page, a one time offer page, a thank you page, a download page, a webinar registration page, a sales page, an upsell page, and other pages designed specifically to build your email list and sell your products or services.
A blog is an online presence that you can use to deliver awesome content to your audience, share updates, and to otherwise write awesome stuff for your readers.
Can You Integrate A Blog With Your Sales Funnel?
One cool strategy, is to promote your lead magnets, and lead capture pages in your blog!
That way, every single piece of content that you ever write, essentially aims to build your email list.
So that way you can create awesome blog content, and, you’ll also be promoting a really cool lead magnet inside your blog posts.
In Other Words, You Turn Your Blog Into A Lead Generation Machine!
Imagine if you promoted a lead magnet inside of every single blog post that you ever wrote.
Imagine if the content was unique, imaginative, and helpful to your audience.
Wouldn’t it be awesome to simply focus on writing awesome content, while promoting your lead magnet at the same time?
That’s The Power Of Promoting Your Lead Magnet On Your Blog!
In my opinion, email marketing is one of the most powerful things in the world.
And, if you’re going to blog, you may as well have an email newsletter.
And, if you have an email newsletter, you may as well blog.
That’s why using your blog to promote your email newsletter (by giving away a lead magnet) is a really cool and effective way to squeeze every last drop of value out of your blog post!
