How To Fix A Flopping, Miserable Sales Funnel Or Creative!
Have you ever been frustrated because you’ve worked tirelessly in an effort to create awesome content, but then your content just bombs dramatically?
Maybe you launched an awesome sales funnel, a webinar funnel, a Podcast episode, or maybe just a simple email newsletter.
But, for whatever reason, your end users just didn’t like the content.
Maybe nobody subscribed to your lead capture page, nobody commented on your social media posts, or, worst yet, maybe nobody bought your newest online course (or book, or product).
If that’s the case, hey I totally get it, and can absolutely relate.
The Truth Is That If You Publish Sales Funnels, Or Any Type Of Content, You’ll Run Into Some Epic Failures.
I’ve published hundreds of blog posts on this tiny little blog, and also published many-countless-dozens of reports; the unfortunate fact is that the majority of my content totally flops, for one reason ro another.
I’ve published a ton of content over the years, because I’ve always loved to write.
Social media posts, forum posts, and tiny little blog posts like this are all something that I absolutely love writing. I’ve often said that I would write even if nobody ever reads my content, which is totally true.
So to reiterate and humiliate myself even further (lol), not everything that I write is a success. In fact, the majority of content that I publish, nobody even reads!
That’s why, in my humble opinion, if you publish any type of online content, it’s truly essential that you actually give a damn about whatever niche or topic you’re creating content on.
Because, if your topic doesn’t truly interest you, then you’ll never have the desire to create content over the long-term, right?
So, Even If Your Content Totally Flops, At Least It Won’t Be A Waste Of Time!
Because, as someone who has been writing content for such a long time, I can promise that the majority of people never continually publish over the long-haul.
In my opinion, a lack of passion prevents people from publishing frequently, or at least, consistently.
So, love the topics you write about, and even if they do flop, you won’t feel as bad about it, because you genuinely love what you do. ๐
(I’m in my 30s and built my first website when I was in Jr High, so I’ve been click clacking for a while!).
This Strategy Isn’t Limited To Mere Sales Funnels, But Everything.
The main point of me mentioning this, is because your sales funnel might not be the only thing that totally and epically “flops”.
In fact, you might find that the more content you publish, the more it flops, including the following types of content:
- Blog posts
- E-books
- Forum posts
- Email newsletters
- Sales funnels
- Email marketing campaigns
- Courses
- Kindle books
- Physical products
- Podcasts
- Videos
- You name it!
Even If Your Content Flops, Is That The Worst Thing In The World?
Let’s pretend that you write a blog post, but nobody reads it right away.
Hopefully, if you’re creating awesome content, then at the very least, your content might be indexed in the big search engines like Google, and Bing.
Maybe you could also share your content on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, WordPress, Tumblr, or any other free social media (or any publishing) platforms.
The point is that, even if nobody reads your content right away, at the very least, your content will be submitted to the major search engines, and will also exist on social media (or other publishing platforms), so at the very least, your ideal end user might eventually find your content via search at some point in time, right?
And besides, if you love to write anyway (writing rules!), then you don’t have anything to lose. ๐
Or, Maybe You Can Repurpose That Content Later On Down The Road?
Pretend that you’ve written 100 blog posts, and the content is relatively high quality.
Even if nobody ever reads the content when you publish it, at the very least, you can refer to that content later on down the line.
So maybe one of your colleagues, students, or customers ask you a piece of content that’s been addressed in your work before.
Well, if that’s the case, one cool thing you can do is simply refer your end user to that piece of content that you’ve already written.
This can be really cool, and an intelligent use of your already existing content.
Also Remember That You Can Repurpose Your Content!
So maybe you turn your blog posts into Podcasts, videos, lead magnets, or maybe even short books?
The truth is that these days, there are so many cool ways to publish your content, so even if your content collects virtual-cobwebs (lol), you can at least statistically increase your odds of someone reading your content by publishing it on different platforms.
In any event, I thank you so much for checking out this humble blog.
The main purpose of this rant, is to let you know, that even if your content totally flops, that hey, it’s not the end of the world.
If you love the content you’re writing about, then you’ll probably write as often as you can without any hope or expectations of people reading.
So that way, if your content ever becomes popular, or if your end users really love your content, then all of that goodwill and adulation is just a bonus; and it’s an awesome bonus at that!
Thank you so much for reading, and please have a beautiful day.
Cordially and humbly…
