In the following blog post I’d like to create the ultimate guide for new ClickFunnels users. So if you’re new to ClickFunnels or are considering checking it out, then I truly hope that this document finds you well.
Because maybe you’ve noticed how frustrating it can be trying to build out a marketing funnel from scratch.
Maybe you’ve banged your head against the wall in an unyielding effort to build your email list, share amazing content, and spread your message with your immortally beloved ideal prospects.
If that’s the case, then I think you’ll really benefit big time from this document.
The First Step Is To Figure Out Your Main Goal With ClickFunnels!
You can have the best marketing pages and funnels in the world, but if you don’t have a clearly defined goal, then what hope do you really have to generate leads and make sales?
So what is your main goal?
- Do you want to sell more copies of your book?
- Do you want to generate leads and get them to call you?
- Do you want to drive sales for your new online course launch?
- Do you want to get more members for your coaching or consulting?
- Maybe you’re just trying to drive sales to your membership website?
- Or, maybe you have an entire assortment of goals that you want, and each tiny little piece of your funnel continually develops your overall value latter?
The Second Step Is To Figure Out Which Funnel Might Be Right For You
Based upon your main goal, you should be able to look inside of ClickFunnels and find a funnel that matches whatever your main goal is.
ClickFunnels has so many ready to go sales funnels that you can deploy using their “What You See Is What You Get Editor”.
The best part is that the majority of these funnels look awesome, and there are funnels for all different types of situations:
- There are webinar marketing funnels, so you can generate leads while automating an awesome welcome sequence to your new leads
- There are book funnels which will allow you to promote your book in an awesome way that not only looks good, but also builds your email list every step of the way
- There are affiliate marketing funnels so you can build your own email list, share amazing content with your audience, while of course still promoting affiliate marketing offers with them using a super genius affiliate bridge funnel
- Then there’s the hero funnel, which will allow you to showcase some of your best work, generate leads, and maybe even promote your books, courses, information products, or even your coaching and consulting offers
- There are traditional lead magnet and squeeze page funnels, so you can share your free lead magnet with the world while following up with your new prospect in an awesome way.
Once you login to ClickFunnels, it’s easy to get overwhelmed when looking at all of the different marketing funnels and the accompanying templates that are now available to you.
My advice? Take it slow! Spend some time analyzing what your main goal is.
- Do you want to sell your book?
- Do you want to promote your course?
- Do you want to promote affiliate products?
- Maybe you just want to build your list and followup with them so you can promote your webinars later on down the line?
Try to work backwards; always remember what your main goals are, and then ask yourself “Which of these funnels can best help me accomplish that goal?”.
The Third Step Is To Choose An Awesome Funnel Template You Love, And Then Customize It!
I spent a ton of time testing out all of the different ClickFunnels templates lately.
Literally, I spent about a week creating about 100 training videos in an effort to document my efforts, and the following is my honest two cents.
ClickFunnels has so many different templates for each type of funnel, that it can be intimidating selecting the one that’s right for you. Because there are so many.
So the webinar funnels have different template, the lead magnet funnels have different templates, the hero funnels have different templates, and so on.
This can result in an unwieldy (lol) amount of templates that are so difficult to work with.
So when you initially start looking for a template, just ask yourself, which one looks the coolest and best for you and your audience?
If you can’t decide which template to use, then one thing you might want to experiment with, is split testing!
So maybe you create a small handful of lead capture pages for example, and then try to split test those to see which ones your prospects like the best.
Because at the end of the day, never forget that our humble opinion never matters; the only thing that really matters is how our end users actually interact with our creatives.
In other words, if our end users actually FILL OUT the opt-in forms, then that’s usually a great sign, and often times it can be so difficult to “guess” which templates will convert for any given audience at any given time.
So, split test!
How To Go About Promoting Your Marketing Funnels Effectively?
Once you have your marketing funnel up and running, now comes the fun part.
Because there are so many ways that you can promote your marketing funnel these days.
Seriously. One of the biggest problems you may encounter, is that you’re not sure what to focus on.
Should you promote your marketing funnel with content marketing, or maybe you should focus on pay per click advertising?
One thing I always ask my students, is what types of content marketing they’re currently doing now.
- Are you writing any blog posts? Then try your best to plug your marketing funnels on your blog.
- Are you doing any guest blogging? Then ask your joint venture partners if you can create more content so you can promote your funnel.
- Do you have any joint venture partners? If so, ask them if they are interested in joining your own affiliate program (which you can easily setup within ClickFunnels).
- Do you have any popular social media channels or groups? Then consider promoting your webinars and lead magnets in these groups.
- Are you publishing any books or online courses? Consider promoting one of your best lead magnets toward the end of your book and courses!
If you’re not the biggest fan of content marketing, then there’s always pay per click advertising.
You can probably generate more website traffic than you’ll ever need with the big 3 pay per click marketplaces, which are Facebook (Facebook Ads), Microsoft (bing ads), and Google (AdWords).
Those three companies alone, can definitely serve more website visitors than any of us could ever handle, and these days it’s so easy to reach one’s ideal audience without much stress or hassle.
One final tip, is to search for FREE coupons on these platforms. Over the years I’ve totally hit the jackpot with regards to free pay per click coupons, and I totally encourage you to seek them out because there’s no advertising like free advertising!
(Especially free pay per click advertising, nothing in the world beats that right? Lol).
