Are You A Frustrated Affiliate Marketer? Then Let’s Have A Massive Brainstorming Session Starting Now!
Affiliate Marketing is one of the coolest things in the world! Of course, affiliate marketing can also be super depressing if nobody is clicking on your links. That’s why in this document I want to reveal 7 awesome and creative ways you can promote your affiliate links, no matter what niche you’re in!
Before we get started, it’s important to talk about affiliate marketing strategy. Because in my opinion, the single best affiliate marketing strategy is knowing who your ideal audience is, and also knowing how you can help them.
If you know that important strategy, then everything else will probably seem much easier. If you’re not cognizant of this strategy, then it will probably be much harder to promote your affiliate offers.
It’s also important to remember that you can have the best idea for a sales funnel, affiliate marketing funnel, or email list building funnel in the world. But if you don’t have a feasible method to build and deploy your marketing creatives, then everything else can be much more difficult.
That’s why I’m personally a huge fan of ClickFunnels, and it’s why I recommend it to many of my students, colleagues, and friends.
Because ClickFunnels makes it much easier for you to brainstorm and deploy really cool marketing creatives.
In any event, let’s brainstorm more about how you can promote your affiliate links using ClickFunnels.
Promoting Your Affiliate Links Using Email Marketing
In my honest opinion, email marketing is probably the single best way to promote almost any offers, especially for affiliate marketers.
The reason email marketing rocks, is that there are so many powerful ways you can brand yourself and share content.
If you promote an affiliate link directly, your end user either buys, or doesn’t buy. If you paid for this click via Pay Per Click, if your end user doesn’t buy, they might never see you again.
If, on the other hand, you focus on building your email list first, you can hopefully build a relationship with your email subscriber. This is important, so you can continually share awesome content with your end users over the long-haul.
It doesn’t matter what niche you’re in, there are tons of awesome email content ideas you can share with your subscribers.
You can share tutorials, entertaining content, videos, you can host webinars, or you can just share regular tips and tricks with your audience.
The best part with providing awesome email newsletter content, is that hopefully, this process can help you to build your brand. The goal is to create awesome content, so that your subscribers get to know you, like you, and trust you.
If the content you create rocks, then hopefully your subscribers will be more likely to click on your links, and check out the stuff that you recommend.
All of this can equate to a really awesome email marketing campaign, right? Because, hopefully, your end users will stay subscribed over the long-haul, making it so you can accumulate momentum by building an awesome email list.
Of course, ClickFunnels is one of my favorite email list building tools and there are all kinds of cool email marketing funnels that you can build easily within ClickFunnels.
Promoting Your Affiliate Links Using A Survey Funnel
I think that a survey funnel is perfect if you want to promote many different offers.
But maybe you’re thinking “Mike, what the heck is a survey funnel anyway?”.
Well, a survey funnel is a type of funnel where you ask your subscribers questions.
This way, you can help narrow down the problems, concerns, or experiences that your end users have, and then refer them to a different affiliate offer based upon their responses to the survey questions.
That way you can better qualify leads, provide the best solutions for your audience, and ensure that only those who could benefit from each offer even get to see it.
With a little brainstorming, a survey funnel can be a really smart strategy, and there are so many cool ways you might want to integrate a survey funnel.
With ClickFunnels, brainstorming and launching a Survey Funnel is super easy, and you don’t have to be a copywriting or design guru to get started because there are lots of templates you can use, along with their drag and drop editor.
Promoting Your Affiliate Links Using A Bridge Funnel
A bridge funnel is one of the most powerful tools for affiliate marketers, mainly because it allows you to generate email leads on the front end.
An affiliate bridge funnel has many components that we should talk about.
A bridge funnel has a lead capture page, so you can generate an email lead before you even show them the affiliate link. The lead capture page offers a lead magnet to your end user, and if brainstormed properly, can also presell your affiliate offer so your end user is qualified.
A bridge funnel also has the “thank you page”. This is the page that your end user sees after they fill out the tiny form on the “lead capture page”. The thank you page is designed to accomplish a few different things.
First, the thank you page usually contains a video that thanks the end user for subscribing. After you thank the new subscriber, you could also teach them something cool relating to whatever it is that they registered for.
Maybe you could teach something that’s related to your affiliate offer, or maybe you could simply refer them to your affiliate offer outright, and tell them why it might benefit their lives.
Also, you can offer a call to action directly underneath the video, that way, your end users get a chance to click on your link immediately after they subscribe.
Then, since the end user joined your email list, you can then followup with your new subscriber with awesome content that’s related to your niche market.
So, heck yes, affiliate bridge funnels totally rock, and ClickFunnels makes it super easy to brainstorm and deploy beautiful affiliate bridge funnels, and other types of spectacular funnels that are super fun to play around and experiment with.
Promoting Your Affiliate Links Using A Tripwire Funnel
A tripwire funnel is a sales funnel that has a very low cost front end product, and then a series of upsells or one time offers immediately after the end user buys.
Again, maybe you’re thinking “Mike, what does this have to do with affiliate marketing? Surely you’ve gone mad, dude!”.
The truth is that, I honestly believe that those who create online courses, books, and other products, have an advantage in the affiliate marketing world. Here’s why.
If you publish an online course or a digital product, well, in my opinion, this is one of the single best ways to build authority in your niche.
So, the idea here, is to launch an awesome product that has to do with your affiliate offer. And then, after your end users purchase your course or book, you then have a “download page” where your customers access their purchase.
In my humble opinion, this piece of real estate, the “download page”, is arguably the single best place to promote your affiliate offers.
Why is this the case? Well, because location is everything. Your “download page” is typically only seen by those who have already pulled out their wallet, and paid for your product. In my honest opinion, this is the ultimate sign that they want more of what your affiliate product offers.
For example, let’s pretend that you want to promote an online course that teaches, say, “Electrical Wiring” as an affiliate. (I tried to use the strangest niche that I can think of, and yes, this is a relatively small niche market I think that I know nothing about lol, I’m using this as a sample just to proof a point that it can work in just about any niche).
So, in any event, you are promoting an affiliate offer in the “electrical wiring” niche.
Then, let’s pretend that you create a small e-book or a video course called “The 7 Best Ways To Fix Any Electrical Wiring Problems Guaranteed!”, or maybe “How To Find An Electrical Wiring Job In Your State”. Or maybe “The 10 Worst Mistakes That Newbie Electrical Wiring Newbies Make That Can Cause Fire Hazards Or Even Cost You Your Job!”.
If someone enrolls in this course, or buys this book, there’s a darn good chance that they might be interested in your affiliate product in the electrical wiring niche, right?
That’s why it might be a genius idea to promote your related affiliate offers on your “download page”, because in my opinion, this is prime real estate to promote your affiliate offers.
Your buyers already proved that they want to know more about your product, so if you can integrate your affiliate offers within your own product funnels, then this can be a really awesome strategy.
Of course, ClickFunnels makes it super easy to set up really nifty Tripwire funnels, so you don’t have to be a tech nerd or have any experience building marketing pages, because ClickFunnels makes it super easy.
Promoting Your Affiliate Links Using A Membership Funnel
I just spent an hour writing about how your own product funnels can be a great way to promote your affiliate links, and I think the same strategy can be used for your membership funnels.
In fact, I think that a membership funnel can be one of the most powerful ways to promote your affiliate links.
Think about it from this perspective, if someone is interested enough in a topic to join a membership website, then there’s a good chance they’re a mega-fan of that niche, right?
So let’s pretend that you want to promote an “Email Marketing” software as an affiliate.
Let’s also pretend that you have an “Email marketing” course that you sell via a membership funnel.
This way, your students can get neat and tidy access to your video course after they purchase via your membership area.
In this situation, there are so many powerful ways that you could promote the Email Marketing Software as an affiliate.
Maybe underneath every single video in your course, you could have a button that says “Click Here To Try My Favorite Email Marketing Software!”.
Or, maybe at the very end of the course, you could have a “resources” section with a bunch of affiliates offers that your email marketing students might love.
I propose to you, that a little brainstorming and creativity can be a massive asset for all marketers, especially if you are running a membership funnel and want to promote cool affiliate offers to your students.
If you’re curious to learn more about how to build membership funnels, I always recommend ClickFunnels because they’re super easy to use and won’t result in any annoying technical overwhelm.
Promoting Your Affiliate Links Using A Hero Funnel
A Hero Funnel is a very special type of sales funnel that is designed to brand yourself first and foremost.
So a Hero Funnel can be a great way to tell your story, to promote your email list, to promote your affiliate offers, or even your social media profiles.
That I think is one of the biggest benefits of a Hero Funnel; they allow you to brand yourself, tell your story, and insert calls to actions methodically, and those calls to action can promote just about anything that you want.
And, as always, I think attempting to brand yourself before you promote offers can be a really good idea, which is why a Hero Funnel is really cool, and personally, they’re one of my favorite funnels to experiment with.
ClickFunnels has a bunch of really cool Hero Funnel templates to try if you want to experiment with this type of funnel, and you might have a ton of fun being very creative with this type of funnel becaues you can tell the story you want, and insert a cool looking call to action pointing to almost any offer that you can imagine.
Promoting Your Affiliate Links Using A Book Funnel
A book funnel is one of my favorite types of funnels, because a book funnel, in my opinion, can be one of the best ways to share your message with the world.
Also, I want to be perfectly clear that there are many different types of book funnels. You could offer a “Free” book, in the form of a Lead Magnet Funnel. This way you can give away your book for free, while building your email list.
But, maybe you’d rather sell your book instead of giving it away for free? That’s also a possibility, and if you go this route you could also have a “Thank You Page” that your new reader sees immediately after they subscribe. On your thank you page, you could of course thank your end user, and refer them to one of your favorite affiliate offers that you think might be a good match.
And there are even more types of book funnels you could brainstorm with a little creativity. Imagine if ONLY those who registered for your webinar could get your book? Or maybe only those who join your email list get your book? In any event, I’m a huge fan of book funnels because they are very versatile, and if you’re creative you can probably come up with even more book funnel ideas.
There are a few reasons why I love book funnels. First of all, I personally love to write and am always publishing books and blog posts and even newsletter content pretty much nonstop (lol).
But, I think the biggest advantage to a book funnel is that it allows you to build your email list. And, of course, if you’ve read this tutorial, then you might agree with me that email marketing is one of the best tools for affiliate marketers.
Another huge advantage to having a book funnel, is that you can insert a one time upsell, or an order bump within your funnel if you want to.
But maybe you just want to promote one of your affiliate links in your book funnel?
So imagine this situation. Imagine once your reader requests the book, they immediately get a “Thank You” video. Inside the video, you can quickly thank your end user for requesting the book, and then you can go on to introduce, you guessed it, an affiliate offer.
Or maybe on the “download page”, you can simply include a few related affiliate links that your end users might appreciate.
With a little brainstorming power, I’m confident you can creatively concoct a bunch of awesome affiliate offers that could match up with your book offer.
Just ask yourself, “what’s the main thing that my readers would need AFTER they read the book?”, another question to ask yourself is “What service would my reader honestly benefit from the most after they read this book?”.
Those questions can help make sure that your end users get awesome content, and hopefully, they’ll love your book and appreciate the affiliate offer that you recommend on the “Download Page”, or at the very least in your marketing emails that are to come.
As always, ClickFunnels makes it super easy to create awesome book funnels. Whether you want to sell your book, or have a “free” lead magnet style book funnel, there are a few different options that you might like.
