Have you ever been frustrated because you create awesome blog content, but nobody ever reads it?
Maybe you try your best to slave over fresh blog content ideas, but then you secretly cry your eyes out because nobody ever reads it?
Face it, that can be one of the most frustrating things for bloggers. When you try your best to help your prospective audience, yet nobody ever reads your stuff.
After Blogging Since 2010, This Is By Far My Favorite Method To Promote My Blog…
I’m not talking about paid traffic, pay per click traffic, solo ads, or even banner advertising.
Nope.
After blogging since around 2010, and having countless colleagues and students ask me about how they can promote their blog, there’s one thing that really stands out.
That one thing that stands out, is that you can really promote your blog through email marketing.
The reason why email marketing is such a powerful blog promotional method, is because if someone subscribes to your email newsletter, then they WANT to hear from you.
That’s Why ClickFunnels Can Be An Awesome Yet Little-known Method To Promote Your Blog
Because, as you know, I’m always shamelessly promoting ClickFunnels as it’s a really powerful way to build your email list.
ClickFunnels is designed by super smart marketers who know how to build awesome lead generation pages.
There are so many awesome “done for you” funnels that ClickFunnels users can quickly deploy to grow their audience.
They can deploy traditional lead capture pages, webinar funnels, sales funnels, or even super advanced lead generation funnels with a ton of upsells and downsells.
The Main Reason I Mention This, Is Because You Generate Leads, Then You May As Well Share Awesome Content!
One of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made as an email marketer, is that I didn’t provide enough value to my subscribers.
I didn’t share enough stuff.
I didn’t share all of the awesome content that I’ve been secretly creating and squirreling away on my blog.
Always remember that if someone subscribes to your email newsletter, subscribes to your webinar, or agrees that they want one of your lead magnets, that you may as well put forth your best effort to share the content that you create.
Regularly sharing awesome content that helps your email subscribers, customers, students and readers can be a really smart way to build massive authority, rapport, and prestige, right?
Sharing Your Blog Can Also Be A Long-Term Promotional Strategy!
Maybe you can add a small “PS” at the end of your blog that points to one of your sales letters.
Or maybe you could promote a new lead magnet, a new webinar registration page that you’re promoting, or maybe even a network marketing offer, an affiliate offer, or a page that promotes your newest service or offer.
The main point is that, blogging is a really cool way to not only share your latest and greatest content, but this can be a long-term strategy that lasts a lifetime.
Writing Broadcasts That Promote Your Blog
If you want to promote your blog with an email marketing broadcast, then it’s as simple as writing a tiny note that talks about how you created an awesome blog post that your audience will benefit from reading.
Maybe you wrote a review for a product that one of your audience members asked you about, or maybe you just wrote a blog post answering a question that one of your prospects have.
Either way, it’s super simple to take 10 minutes and write a short note for your subscribers while plugging your blog.
The best part, is that this is a method that will work now, and 10 years from now.
You Could Also Promote Your Blog Via An Email Followup Sequence
If you have no intention of creating content consistently or reliably on your blog, maybe you at least have a couple of mega awesome posts that you wrote in the past?
Ask yourself, what are the top 5, or top 10 blog posts that you’ve ever written?
Most importantly, which of your blog posts have the most views? This is really easy to figure out if you have your blog attached to Google or Microsoft webmaster tools.
So, once you figure out which of your blog posts are the most popular, maybe you could automate an email to go out every month promoting your top 12 best blog posts?
If you have more blog posts, then maybe you could share them more frequently, or otherwise lengthen the duration of your email autoresponder sequence.
How To Sell In Your Emails While Also Promoting Your Blog Posts
One thing that I’ve recently been experimenting with, is having more than one call to action in my emails.
So maybe you could introduce your email with a tiny FAQ section, and point to a new blog post for every single question.
Then at the end of your email, you could add a small PS and promote something else. Like an affiliate link, a sales page, a contact form, a webinar registration link, or absolutely anything.
The Main Point Of This Rant, Is That There Are So Many Ways To Write An Email
The best thing you can do, is write emails that honestly try to help your audience.
If you write awesome emails that are actually designed to help your subscribers, then you honestly can’t go wrong.
So you can link directly to your blog post as you write it, or maybe if you’re a prolific blogger you can share an awesome piece of content that you wrote many years ago.
That’s one hot tip I should mention by the way, and that’s to try your best to make your content evergreen.
That way, if you blog frequently, you’ll always have a huge collection of content that you can share with your subscribers whenever you want.
Additionally, if you decide to automate the content delivery and blog sharing with an email autoresponder sequence, you won’t have to worry about your content being stale, or out of date.
