In this blog post I’m going to share my honest two cents on how to find reliable Solo Ad Vendors.
Because it seems like there are so many Solo Ad Vendors these days, and in my humble and honest opinion, Solo Ad Vendors are certainly not created equal!
Maybe this is something that you’ve noticed, or maybe you’re frustrated because you’re not sure which Solo Ad Vendors to try?
If that’s the case, then hey, I totally get it, which is why I’d like to spend some time brainstorming on this very important and fascinating topic.
Before We Talk About Finding Good Solo Ad Vendors, I Have To Quickly Explain What Solo Ads Are And How They Work…
If you’re not really into this world of marketing and advertising, or if you’re just trying to learn more about lead generation and email list building, then you might have no clue what a Solo Ad is.
A Solo Ad, simply put, is an email advertisement. The idea is to find a “Solo Ad Vendor” in other words a small business owner, a blogger, an email newsletter publisher, or an email marketer and you PAY them to promote your own advertisement to their own newsletter subscribers.
Usually, and in my opinion, Solo Ads are only feasible if you have an email newsletter that’s in a very mainstream niche, such as internet marketing, business opportunity, self-help, weight loss, relationships, or something that’s VERY mainstream.
That’s because, according to my own experience, and again in my opinion, the majority of sizeable email newsletters who are capable of reliably selling advertisements are usually based upon a relatively mass and general market, and not a very specific or niche market. That’s because, in economic theory, it would theoretically be easier to build an email newsletter subscription base and attract subscribers if a ton of people were interested in a topic, as opposed to something that’s not as popular, and in a very narrow or ultra-targeted niche.
Solo Ads Are Simply Put A Form Of Email Advertising Ideally Used To Promote Your Own Email List!
As someone who is admittedly totally addicted to email newsletter publishing (lol), I’ve naturally put a ton of thought into Solo Ads as a mechanism upon which to generate leads.
I’ve put a ton of thought into the world of Solo Ads, and I’ve also brainstormed a ton about this topic with fellow students, colleagues, friends, and peers.
As a result, I’m always trying my best to brainstorm wise and frugal strategies for finding the best Solo Ad Vendors.
As someone who has always hand a huge “cheapskate” mentality, I’d be honored to share my own personal philosophies and strategies for finding a reliable solo ad vendor.
What Is My Favorite Solo Ad Marketplace?
There have been a few Solo Ad Marketplaces that have come and gone over the years, and there are definitely a handful of places where you can find Solo Ads, however, to be honest, Udimi is my favorite marketplace.
There are two main reasons why Udimi is my favorite Solo Ad Marketplace.
Udimi Feature # 1 – Buyer Protection Policies.
I think that buying any type of advertising outside of a marketplace isn’t a very good idea, unless you are very technically savvy and know how to track your results with 100% accuracy and confidence. Because otherwise, in my humble opinion, it’s too easy to get taken advantage of.
In other words, I usually think that if you are buying any type of advertisement, you should definitely consider buying through a reputable marketplace that can keep track of your order, track your clicks, and show you the results of your campaign in plain sight.
I’m personally a paranoid type of person. I’m always very scared about IT security, data privacy, and certainly I’m paranoid about people trying to rip me off.
One of the best things about Udimi, is that they have sound buyer protection policies in place, so you have more control over your Solo Ad purchases.
For example, what happens if you find some random Solo Ad Vendor outside of a marketplace, and you buy a $50 advertisement, and then your Solo Ad Vendor totally runs off and never sends you the clicks? In other words, what happens if you get ripped off?
What if you try to contact the Solo Ad Vendor about the advertisement you purchased, and they ignore you? What if they take your cash and then ditch you without offering any service at all? Or what happens if they only send you 10 clicks when you ordered 500?
If that was the case, and if you purchased a Solo Ad privately, outside of a trusted marketplace, then it might be difficult (or at the very least frustrating) to get your money back.
However, if you purchase your Solo Ads on Udimi, you could then elevate your case to the support staff. They will investigate your case, and if they find out that your Solo Ad Vendor tried to scam you or rip you off, and if the vendor never sent you the clicks, then Udimi can safely and easily issue you a refund.
Udimi Feature # 2 – Public Review System
Arguably the single biggest feature that Udimi offers is that the public review system.
The reason why this is very important, is because only verified Solo Ad Buyers are allowed to leave reviews. This, in my opinion, can help to minimize fake reviews.
This is important, once again, because I’m a very paranoid person. I personally believe that reviews are very easy to fake when they are outside of a moderated community or marketplace.
In my opinion, reading reviews are also a huge variable when trying to find high quality Solo Ad Vendors, which I will elaborate on more in a moment.
When Trying To Find The Best Solo Ad Vendor, Always Read And Study The Reviews Of The Solo Ad Vendor!
I think that public reviews are probably one of the strongest indicators when trying to find good Solo Ad Vendors.
Another huge tip, is to search and scan the reviews and look for keywords that indicate that the Solo Ad Buyer indeed made sales from the Solo Ad. Keywords such as “Got Sales”, “Sales”, “Sale” or other indicators that help identify when the Solo Ad Buyer actually made sales is always a good thing to look for, in my opinion.
Udimi also lists the percentage of customers who reported sales from their solo ads, so pay very special attention to that statistic, because in my opinion it’s one of the most important statistics to consider!
The Surest Way To Find Good Solo Ad Vendors? My Humble Two Cents…
At the end of the day, I would say that the single surest way to find good Solo Ad Vendors is by experimenting with them yourself.
Your statistics are ultimately more valuable, and reliable than anything else, right?
Because nothing is realer than reality; your own statistics; your own actual marketing experimentation, tests, and results.
In my honest two cents, the main scientific principle of advertising in any form, is that your own data and your own results are the truest metric of what works, and what doesn’t.
In other words, the only way to tell if your own email list building funnels, your own copywriting style, and your own offers work, is to expose your content to your ideal audience.
Testing Is Always The Truest Form Of Feasibility Analysis.
In other words, your own statistics, your own results, and your own experiences help determine what works, and what doesn’t work for you.
Until you actually test things, you will have no idea what works, and what doesn’t work.
The ideal end user always decide what works, and what doesn’t.
