As an Online Author, maybe you’ve noticed that selling your books can be like pulling teeth? If that’s the case, then this blog post is for you!
I know how sad and frustrating it can be when you’re publishing and writing books nonstop, only to hear the sound of crickets when you finally launch your book.
It’s a soul-crushing endeavor when you try your best to create awesome content, and then nobody buys it.
That’s why I’ve studied the art and science of email marketing so thoroughly because, upon my initial research, email marketing can be one of the coolest ways to drive targeted traffic without having a massive budget.
That’s why I’m a huge fan of GetResponse, and it’s why I want to showcase some cool ways to help promote your book, even if you’re not a marketing or a tech god!
Promoting Your Book With GetResponse Idea # 1 – Promoting Via An Email Course
An email course is probably one of the most underrated ways to educate your leads and to share powerful content.
The best part is that you can turn your course into a vehicle to promote absolutely anything you want.
One of my favorite strategies is to simply include a call to action at the end of the email that promotes something. This call to action could easily point to your book sales pages, an affiliate offer, a course sales page, or anything else you envision.
That’s another reason why I’m madly in love with email courses because they can be designed to promote absolutely anything that you had in mind, the only thing you need to get started with an email course is creativity!
Of course, GetResponse makes it very easy to deploy really powerful automated email campaigns, so setting up a 7-day email autoresponder via GetResponse is literally drag and drop easy.
Promoting Your Book With GetResponse Idea # 2 – Promoting Via A Lead Capture Page Funnel
Lead Capture Pages rock, and in my opinion they’re easily one of the coolest and fastest ways to generate leads and to build an email list.
But, think of this, what happens as soon as your email lead registers to join your email list?
What do they see immediately after they subscribe? What happens tomorrow, and the next day?
My advice is to plan followup content that can help to share powerful content, to build massive rapport, and to, of course, presell your book offers as best as you can.
You could even promote your book sales page right on the “confirmation page” immediately after your lead subscribes.
That way, as soon as you generate a lead, you can begin pre-selling your book.
Setting up an awesome Lead Capture Page, and a Confirmation Page is very easy using GetResponse, and you don’t have to use any coding skills or complicated computer code to use their drag and drop editor.
Promoting Your Book With GetResponse Idea # 3 – Promoting Via A Traditional Sales Page
GetResponse can help you to pre-sell your book by using their drag and drop page editor which is very easy to use.
There are so many cool ways that you can pre-sell your book using the GetResponse page editor.
Maybe you could put together a special seasonal deal, a special discount, or maybe you could offer special bonuses that are only available for a limited time.
The best advice I can give you is to test different things, and never stop brainstorming and testing creative sales ideas!
Promoting Your Book With GetResponse Idea # 4 – Promoting With Email Marketing
Also, remember that GetResponse was originally known for their email marketing service, so you can integrate your book sales page within the very email newsletter content that you publish, which can be a really good idea.
Email marketing, in my opinion, is one of the cleverest ways to market your books, and having a list of subscribers who are interested to learn more about your contact, is probably the single most important asset that an Author or any entrepreneur has.
