How Does Udimi Work, And Who Exactly Is Udimi For?
Udimi is a Solo Ad Marketplace where those with Email Newsletters (Solo Ad Sellers) can sell advertisements to those who want to buy advertising (Solo Ad Buyers).
So, in other words, on Udimi Solo Ad Buyers buy Solo Ads from Solo Ad Sellers.
All of this may lead you to ask the very important question, what exactly is a Solo Ad?
What Is A Solo Ad Exactly?
A Solo Ad is simply an email advertisement. Solo Ad Sellers are email marketers or email newsletter publishers who will agree to promote your advertisement to their audience for a previously agreed upon advertising fee.
In other words, the quantity of clicks that the Solo Ad Seller sends to the Solo Ad Buyer, as well as the price of the Solo Ad are usually agreed upon in advance. On Udimi, the Solo Ad Sellers list the cost of their clicks on their profile transparently for all to see, which I like.
A Solo Ad is referred to a “Solo Ad”, simply because usually the Solo Ad Seller will devote an entire email solely to your individual advertisement. Your email message is usually, within the Solo Ad World, referred to as the “Solo Ad Swipe” or the “Solo Ad Copy”.
Usually, you, as the Solo Ad Buyer, should provide the Solo Ad Seller with the Solo Ad Copy, which is the actual written content of your email advertisement. The content of your email, being the advertisement that the Solo Ad Seller sends to their audience, is also sometimes referred to as the “Solo Ad Copy”.
Why Would Affiliate Marketers Want To Use Udimi?
If you’re interested in learning more about the art and science of lead generation, affiliate marketing, or building an awesome email newsletter, then Solo Ads can be a cool advertising method to study.
I honestly believe that affiliate marketing rocks! I also think that content marketing, creating awesome newsletter content, blog content, social media content, Podcast content, and creating different types of content can be a great way to generate leads, and to build your email list.
The problem with all of that, of course, is that creating all of this content, courses, e-books, video content, and all of this helpful content takes time, effort, grit, courage, and endless quantities of effort!
That’s why, paid advertising can always be an easier way to build an email list, to generate leads, and to help augment your already existing (or even nonexistent) audience.
Of course, Solo Ads aren’t easy. Please never let anyone convince you that email marketing, or Solo Ad success is easy!
That being said, if you have an email marketing funnel, or a marketing creative that you’d like to test, then Solo Ads might be worth investigating more into, especially if you have an email marketing funnel that rocks, and properly promotes your affiliate offers in a strategically clever way. 😊
Also, just a fair warning. Solo Ad traffic is very different from other pay per click traffic methods. While personally, I think that Solo Ads Rock, however, there aren’t many different sources of Solo Ads for those who are in a very narrow, local, or specific niche compared to other Pay Per Click Advertising platforms that are more diverse (such as social, and search).
The main advantage of Solo Ad Traffic, in my honest opinion, is that it can be very inexpensive compared to other Pay Per Click Advertising Methods. Solo Ads can also be very fast, so you can complete and test different campaigns in a matter of days if you’re a marketing nerd and love that kind of stuff.
Is Udimi Expensive? How Much Does Udimi Cost?
You can register to the Udimi.com website without paying a penny. As a Udimi.com member, you can begin to browse among the different Solo Ad Vendors, reading their reviews, and you can also check out their website forum which is completed with some really cool and smart email marketers who discuss the world of Solo Ads.
However, and that being said, of course the advertising itself isn’t free, and yes it costs money. If you want to buy advertising, more particularly, if you want to buy Solo Ads on Udimi, then the clicks will usually cost you about $.5 to $1 – $2 per click. (So anywhere from fifty cents to a few dollars, usually on the lower side).
- So, if you wanted to buy 100 clicks, that could cost anywhere from $50 – $200.
- Or, if you wanted to buy 500 clicks, that could cost anywhere from $250 – $1,000.
Also remember that those numbers are just estimates, though based upon my understanding of the Solo Ad Market now, those prices seem reasonable and about on target.
Are Udimi Solo Ads A Good Way For Affiliate Marketers To Advertise?
I think that Affiliate Marketers who have a cool Lead Capture Page, Squeeze Page, or Lead Magnet Funnel who want to promote their email newsletter, or their email list, can definitely consider testing their email funnels with Solo Ads.
My advice, as always, is to test small! That advice would be the same for nearly any situation in life, but when you are spending your own hard-earned cash on any new advertising method, it’s absolutely essential to test VERY small so you can determine if any feasibility exists.
That’s another really cool thing about Solo Ads, is that often times you can buy Solo Ads in very small quantities, which helps you to potentially experiment, split test, and drive traffic to your affiliate marketing funnels while still minimizing risk.
How Can You Find The Best Solo Ad Vendors On Udimi?
The best thing about Udimi, and in my opinion probably one of the top features that Udimi boasts, is the public and transparent reviewing system. Only real buyers are allowed to leave ratings, which in theory should help to minimize fake reviews. This type of transparency allows you to get a good idea of which Solo Ad Vendors offer an awesome service, and those who don’t!
Also, and probably most importantly, the Udimi review system also allows the Solo Ad Buyers to note if they earned any “Sales” from whichever Solo Ad Seller they bought the Solo Ad from. In other words, if you buy a Solo Ad, and if you ended up earning direct sales from the advertisement, you could then share that information in your review of the Solo Ad and Solo Ad Seller if you choose. Why is this so important? Because, in my humble and honest opinion, the ability for a Solo Ad Vendor to produce sales, and results for their customers, is the single best indicator that their audience, and that their email list rocks!!!!
Another reason I’m a shameless fan of Udimi, is because they have sound buyer protection policies, so that if a Solo Ad Seller ever tries to rip you off, you can elevate your case to the Udimi team to investigate if a refund may be warranted. So, I can feel good referring colleagues to Udimi knowing that, in all probability, there’s less of a chance of something going wrong.
All in all, I love that Udimi helps to centralize and regulate the Solo Ad world, because not only can you easily find some of the best reviewed Solo Ad Vendors on Udimi, but you can also take advantage of their Solo Ad Buyer protection policies.
Here’s Some Good Advice For Getting Started With Udimi…
If you’re interested in learning more about Udimi, then remember that registering for a Udimi.com account is totally free.
Once you login, you can then browse among the different Solo Ad Deals that are going on, and you can also begin to checking out the most popular Solo Ad Vendors, and my advice is to look for the best reviewed Solo Ad Vendors who sell for the least amount!
Also, before you ever think of buying advertising, make sure that you have a sound followup plan!
What I mean by that, is what happens if you do indeed start to generate lots of leads?
What will your followup plan be?
Do you have an automated email marketing sequence set in place? Or, maybe you want to send broadcasts to your email subscribers instead of relying on a fancy automated email sequence?
Be sure to plan, so that you’re not stuck in a situation where you have a lead generation plan, but no followup plan!
Also, one final tip, is to remember that a good Solo Ad Seller will know that your success, is their success, so often times a trusty Solo Ad Seller can be a good person to share your Lead Magnet or Lead Capture Page with.
Maybe you could consider asking them how they think their audience would like your offer? It doesn’t hurt to ask, right?
