As a nutritionist or a health coach, you try your best to share your knowledge about the human body and how it relates to dietary, nutrition, and health requirements. You know that you can help your ideal clients lose weight and feel at their best. You’ve studied for years and have a ton of insights to share!
However, as you know, just because you’re an excellent nutritionist, doesn’t mean that you’ll automatically get clients, leads, traffic, or sales. Winning targeted healthcare or weight loss leads can seem like an uphill battle even if you’re the best nutritionist in your city.
That’s why I’m a huge fan of marketing funnels for nutritionists. If you’re a nutritionist coach, consultant, or if you help others with their nutrition, then marketing funnels are a great method to help email list growth, lead acquisition, positioning, and the relationships with your ideal clients.
If you’re not sure what tool to use when building your marketing funnels, then I’m a huge fan of ClickFunnels due to their comprehensive marketing templates and ease of use. Regardless of what marketing or page builder you use, there are marketing fundamentals to be aware of.
Let’s brainstorm some of my favorite lead generation strategies without any technical stress or unnecessary complications.
As A Nutritionist, What Does Your Ideal Client Want? How Can You Help Them With Their Weight Loss And Healthcare Goals?
Whenever you start any lead generation campaign, you need to think deeply about your ideal client.
One of the most important exercises is to figure out the perfect avatar for your ideal client.
The same is true for all businesses. Take this blog for example. I like to get a piece of paper and just brainstorm as much as I can about my ideal reader. I’m always asking myself questions so that I can brainstorm more and better content. What does my ideal reader want to read? How can I help them? What content would provide the most value?
I challenge you to ask yourself the same (or similar) questions about your ideal nutrition client!
Ask These Questions About Your Ideal Client As A Nutritionist:
- As a nutritionist, who is your ideal client?
- Are they typically male or female?
- Are they in their 20s? Their 30s? Their 40s? Their 50s? Or older?
- What do they know about the world of nutrition?
- What is the top diet mistake they make?
- How can you help them?
- How would your nutritionist service, consulting, or coaching benefit your client?
What Are The Top 10 Frustrations That Your Ideal Nutritionist Clients Experience?
Another ingenious exercise is to consider the frustrations of your ideal nutrition or weight-loss client. Spend some time brainstorming as to the pain points, frustrations, and desires of your health coaching client.
Let’s Brainstorm Pain Points Of Your Ideal Nutritionist Or Health Coaching Client
- Maybe they’ve tried to lose weight, but they continually fail
- Maybe they’ve successfully lost weight in the past, but they gained it back
- Maybe they have a disease and they need to follow a specific diet
- Maybe they lack the energy to exercise
- Maybe they have a job which leaves them sapped of all energy
- Maybe they want to find a partner, but they feel self-conscious about their looks
- Maybe they want to start exercising, but they’re not sure how to start
- Maybe they’ve tried fad diets in the past, but they’ve failed each time
- Maybe they need to follow a specific diet (low carb, vegan) but aren’t sure how to do so correctly
- Maybe they’re desperate to finally lose their first 10 pounds, but nothing works!
I was able to brainstorm these 10 imaginary questions after only about 5 minutes, and I’m not even a nutritionist! However, I know what it’s like to struggle with weight loss!
I’m confident, that as a nutritionist or a health coach, you probably have even better and more specific ideas of what pain points your ideal health coach client may experience. Spend time researching your ideal prospect. That way, all your future content marketing, and copywriting efforts are much easier because you have the pain points of your ideal health coach client fresh in mind.
Let’s Talk About Your Lead Magnet! As A Nutritionist, What Is An Awesome Thing That You Can Give Away For Free?
Once you spend serious time brainstorming your ideal health coach or nutritionist client, it’s important to consider your lead magnet. Your lead magnet serves as the perfect bait so you can introduce yourself and your amazing nutritional knowhow.
Since you’ve conducted copious amounts of research regarding the demands of your ideal nutritionist lead, it’s now elementary to devise an amazing lead magnet that will leave your health prospect speechless with amazement and joy!
In all seriousness, your lead magnet as a nutritionist is limited only by your creativity and your understanding of your ideal health coaching prospect.
Here are just a few sample lead magnet ideas for your health coaching or nutritionist prospects:
- You could host a webinar showing off the BIGGEST benefit of your health coaching
- You could create a free 7-day email course that teaches how to eat healthy in the new year
- You could deploy a lead magnet funnel that promotes a free course, e-book, or video series
- You could give away a free consultation, coaching call, or offer free email support to new clients
- You could promote a survey funnel so you can pre-screen your clients before you contact them
If you’re worried because all of these lead magnet ideas seem like a daunting exercise in futility, then worry not! If you decide to use ClickFunnels, then they have a ton of “done for you” lead generation templates that turns the entire lead generation process into a straightforward process. The best part is that the ClickFunnels templates are very easy to use due to the elementary ClickFunnels page editor, which is drag and drop easy.
The Next Step? To Brainstorm Some Helpful Upsells That Your Nutritionist Leads And Health Coach Clients Will Adore!
What happens after your nutritionist client registers for your webinar? Or, what happens after they register for your email newsletter or automated email series?
In other words, what types of service do you want to sell them? Do you want to sell group coaching? Premium courses? One on one coaching? Or maybe you offer a one-time consulting call for a set fee?
You have a variety of options to consider. However, you must have an idea of what results you can offer to your nutritionist clients. That way, you can realistically set expectations for your clients, and you can also price your health coaching services (or products) appropriately.
Does Email Marketing Work For Nutritionists? Even These Days? Really?
I know a lot of people think that email marketing is dead these days, especially for nutritionists or health coaches. However, I beg to differ!
Contrary to popular belief, I think that email marketing is still one of the best marketing channels. Even in today’s world of social media, remember that people still use email. I know that I use email every single day. Most of my friends, colleagues, ad family members use email too.
To be fair, I think it’s true that a lot of people spend time on social media more so than email these days. However, think about this. Just about all your health coaching and nutritionist clients have smartphones, right? That means it’s safe to say that your clients have access to email accounts.
One of the main reasons I love email marketing is that it’s one of the best ways to share the other content that you create for your health coaching or nutritionist business. If you create health tutorials, diet instructions, exercise videos, special recipes, blog posts, webinars, or social media content? Then you can easily promote that content within your email newsletter. Email marketing brings everything together!
You can also promote dietary advice, seasonal discounts on your courses, books, or any of your nutritional related offers. Email marketing rocks, it’s super versatile, and it’s also super fun if you love to write about nutritional health!
How To Build An Awesome Lead Capture Page As A Nutritionist That Converts?
I want you to know that I’ve spent tons of time building lead capture pages over the years. Believe it or not, a long time ago, the first course I ever taught was all about building lead capture pages!
The point is that I love lead capture pages, and I’ve put a ton of thought into how to build a beautiful lead capture page. The best tip I can give you is to remember the main benefits of your lead magnet. Also, remember the main pain points of your ideal client.
That way, you can endeavor to make your lead capture page as pithy and as to the point as possible. One of the biggest mistakes I try to avoid on my lead capture pages is rambling and not getting to the point. I try to make the lead capture pages short, and punchy! That way, my subscriber can read the content and understand the main benefits of registering in 2 seconds, and not 2 hours!
Lead capture pages aren’t your only marketing funnel option, either. If you’re a ClickFunnels user, they offer a nifty collection of cool lead capture page and marketing funnel templates to experiment with and explore.
Here Is A Few Of The Marketing Pages You Can Build With ClickFunnels:
- Lead magnet funnels
- Squeeze page funnels

- Video sales letter funnels

- Survey funnels
- E-commerce funnels
- Other funnels that I’m forgetting about!
How Exactly Is ClickFunnels Different From Other Business Websites? Finally, Can You Effectively Use ClickFunnels As A Nutritionist?
One of the biggest differences between a ClickFunnels funnel and a traditional website is that each page within the marketing funnel has one sole measurable purpose in mind. That’s opposed to a traditional corporate website, which serves a variety of uses.
A marketing (or sales) funnel is more direct, more specific, and more to the point.
For example, you might craft a lead capture page. The main measurable purpose of that page is to generate a lead. There’re very few moving parts to bog you down. That way, you can focus on increasing the conversion rates of your lead capture page.
The fascinating thing about a marketing funnel is that you can also optimize other parts of your funnel as well. For example, you might want to experiment with different thank you pages, confirmation pages, upsell pages, and one-time offer pages so you can strive to get every piece of your funnel performing optimally.
If you need to generate leads with your health coaching business, and if you offer reliable and impactful content as a nutritionist, then ClickFunnels may be a great choice for your business. Of course, you need to deliver valuable and worthwhile results for your nutritionist clients. You need to deliver massive value and help them!
If you’re confident that your health coaching style rocks, and if you know that you can change the lives of your clients for the better? Then hopefully your students and clients will love every second of your content and it’s a win/win for all involved!
Could A Nutritionist Benefit By Hosting And Promoting Automated Webinars?
I’m a huge fan of automated webinars. I’m a hugely shy and introverted nerd (lol), so the idea of doing live webinars is out of the question. For that reason, I think that automated webinars rock!
I also think that nutritionists and health coaches have a great opportunity to share their best weight loss and health tips and tricks via an automated webinar.
Another thing that I love about automated webinars is that they’re great for lead generation. If you want to build your email list with prospective health coach clients, then automated webinars are an awesome avenue to consider!
If you’re curious about which automated webinar funnel software to use, then you have a ton of options. I’m a huge fan of ClickFunnels, as you know. ClickFunnels has a handful of beautiful automated webinar funnel templates that you can easily swipe and deploy for your health coaching business. Once you find a template you like, it’s easy to customize the look and feel to match your health coach brand, story, and offers.

In summary, I think that ClickFunnels is a great tool to help you with lead generation. If you want to build beautiful marketing funnels, lead generation pages, or even membership pages, then they have a ton of great templates to consider.
I’m a huge fan of traditional marketing and classic marketing methods. Everything comes down to your ideal health coach and nutritionist clients!
