I’ve been content marketing for so long now, and unfortunately much of my effort has resulted with less than stellar results.
The good news is that content marketing in general is so versatile that you can have so many different avenues of sharing valuable content, and advertising.
And if you love writing, then there’s literally no downside to creating tons of content, right?
The bad news is that it can be confusing to figure out which types of content you should be sending out to your email list, on your blog, on your Podcasts, and within your video content.
This has led to me split testing a ton of different content marketing styles over the years. I’ve also devoted countless hours brainstorming and developing content, and analyzing the best ways to accomplish this.
So, in the following document, I’m going to reveal my own secrets as to how I create so much content, and how I’ve been consistently been creating content since around June of 2010.
Why Am I Always Changing Content Marketing Styles?
Well, because I’m always split testing, changing, brainstorming, and developing new content ideas.
Email marketing is always one of my top considerations, which is why I’m such a huge fan of ClickFunnels.
But at the end of the day, there’s one content marketing tip that will always best everything.
Even better, is that this method is designed to function within absolutely any niche, and in my humble opinion it will work 10 years from now, or even 1,000 years from now. (As long as emails, blog posts, and Podcasts are still around in 1,000 years, lol).
The funny part, is that this is simple rule is one of the cornerstones of marketing, and also economics, but it’s so easy to overlook.
Here Are Two Content Marketing Strategic Fundamentals That I Always Try My Best To Follow:
I try my best to create a ton of content, and I try to make that content promote one of my email marketing funnels. That way all of the content I create, can potentially build my email list and generate leads.
But that’s just a tactic. Albeit, it’s one of my favorite content marketing tactics, but much more important is the fundamental strategies that I’m about to reveal.
The first fundamental is to ensure that you know your end user demographic as much as you can.
Once you figure out the main problem that your subscribers, readers, fans are having, it’s much easier to craft content that will be worthwhile for your audience. The content can also be super helpful if you are familiar with your end users enough.
And that’s the second fundamental really, to make sure that your emails, blog posts, and videos are awesome, or at the very least, valuable and worthwhile for your end users to consume.
You can do that by including genuinely helpful content that’s sincerely designed to help your audience.
You don’t have to be the best writer in the world to accomplish this, right? I think the most important thing, is that you actually care about, and want to help your audience.
Also, always remember that humans have an undying, insatiable lust to have “new” content to consume. This is especially true these days!
So, strive your best to create awesome blog content, email marketing campaigns, and even sales letters that not only contain awesome content, but make it so it’s fresh!
I’m always brainstorming, about all of the different new content ideas that I can produce. I honestly believe, that frequently publishing content can have tremendous benefits, and it can also increase the chance of someone finding your content in the first place.
I Also Want To Talk About The Importance Of Email Marketing And Email List Building Funnels!
Out of all of the different content marketing methods out there, email marketing is still my favorite, and it will probably always be my favorite.
Because email marketing is one of the coolest ways that you can generate rapport, interact with, and help your audience.
Because just about everyone has an email address, and most people I know personally check their email accounts at least a few times per day.
So, I think, email marketing is still one of the soundest marketing methods, and it can be a super genius idea to focus on email marketing so that you may better endeavor to stay in touch with your email subscribers.
So maybe you can generate leads and then have a weekly, or monthly email newsletter.
That way you can share awesome content that’s designed to help your audience, and you can even include advertisements for your products and services within your email newsletter.
Even if you don’t want to promote your own products, you could also promote affiliate products within your email content.
That’s another reason why knowing your audience’s frustrations is a great idea, because then it will be easier to craft beautiful email marketing promotions, right?

Because maybe your funnel is designed and ready to go and is designed to refer your end users to affiliate products, promote your own products, or maybe even try to setup some cool JV partners.
But now you’re frustrated because nobody is going through your funnel. Nobody is reading your emails. And nobody is clicking on links back to your websites!
So, what’s your incentive to create amazing content, if nobody is reading, right? A lack of website traffic or leads can be the most frustrating, and saddest thing in the world, unfortunately.
The Truth Is That There Are So Many Ways To Promote Your Marketing Funnels And Lead Capture Pages These Days
These days it’s so easy to advertise your marketing creatives, and the most frustrating thing can be figuring out which avenue to focus on.
So maybe you can promote your lead capture page on your blog, on social media profiles, within your Podcast content, within your YouTube content, or maybe you could even take out a few advertisements.
If you want to go the paid advertising route, make sure that you search for free ad coupons before you do, because most of the top pay per click markets allow some type of kickback for new users.
I myself have found plenty of 100% free coupons for pay per click advertising over the years, so definitely ask the help desk of whichever pay per click marketplace that you register for if they have any free coupons for new users!
And, if you want to go the content marketing route, then my honest advice is to publish content as frequently as you can.
Personally, I try to write new content at least a couple of times per month.
The thing is, also try to make your content awesome.
Focus On This One Thing So That You May Become Prolific In Your Content Creation!
In my humble opinion, you need to love your niche, and love what you’re writing about! You have to love what you write about, to the point where you would write, even if nobody ever saw your content.
I personally always try to brainstorm new content ideas as frequently as I can!
That’s my most important content marketing tip. I ask you, to suggest doing the same thing. Also think about how you can help content that’s helpful to your ideal audience. Brainstorm this all the time, and you’ll almost never have writer’s block, right? Because your mind will be stuffed to the brim with helpful content ideas. So you can know exactly what type of content will benefit your end users the most.
In my opinion, as long as you create awesome content, and as long as you know who your end user audience is, then you’ll have much better luck when trying to brainstorm helpful solutions for your prospective end user.
This is my advice and experience at least. I have tons of notebooks stuffed to the brim with content that I want to write. I haven’t had writer’s block in years, because I spend so much time brainstorming.
Spend A Ton Of Time Brainstorming Powerful Content Ideas!
That way, I think you’ll have more confidence, to create more content, more frequently. I think that, you’ll also have more interest in creating content over the long-haul.
Because if you’ve read my content for long, then I’m always ranting and raving about how many entrepreneurs, bloggers, email marketers, and business owners, (and startups in general) end up failing, right?
Well, in the online marketing and blogging world, for writers especially, I think purpose and inspiration are both key.
So, if you enjoy helping your ideal prospect with awesome content, I think that there’s a much better chance that your content will be awesome.
Because you care about, and know all about your end users. And you truly want to help them more than anything in the world.
When you have that passion, I honestly believe, that your content is going to rock.
You’ll be able to create amazing promotions, blog content, webinars, videos and Podcasts, and your passion for your end user will shine through.
Imagine Yourself Creating Amazing Content That Your Ideal Prospect Loved…
So if you can humor, educate, enlighten, or entertain your audience, while at the same time promoting your products and services, that’s the recipe for a killer marketing sequence, right?
Because your readers will actually WANT your emails, because they’ll be getting value from them. They’ll be more likely to actually read the content you write, and thank you for helping them with their problems.
So, try your best to be helpful. Make it your goal to study your ideal prospect enough, that you know the exact content that they need to read.
Instead? Just focus on being true to yourself, and always ask how you can help your end user the most.
Your content will be a million times easier to write, they’ll be more fun to read, and you’ll hopefully those who come across your content will appreciate your sincerity, genuine, knowledge of their needs, and also, willingness to help.
That way, you’ll almost always win, no matter how they find your content.
