Let’s spend a few minutes brainstorming in much more detail so you can start generating leads without fuss or hassle.
# 1 – Turn Your Blog Into A Podcast!
One of the easiest things for bloggers to do to augment and amplify their reach is to repurpose their blog content.
Repurposing blog content is something that I’ve been doing for a while since I’m a tiny one-person team. Since my marketing budget is tiny, I need to get the most bang for my content marketing buck. Otherwise, nobody would ever read, or listen to my stuff!
The easiest way for me to get more bang for my buck from my blog is to turn my blog posts into Podcasts or audio content. This allows me to potentially expose my content to an entirely new audience who wouldn’t read my content otherwise.
Podcasting has a few big advantages that aren’t so obvious. First of all, not everyone likes to read blog posts. I bet there are tons of people in your niche who listen to Podcasts, but they don’t like to read blogs. By turning your blog posts into Podcasts, you grant yourself more potential exposure to a new audience.
The best part about creating fresh Podcast content is that you can promote your marketing funnel, lead magnet, squeeze page, or special offer during each episode.
At the beginning and end of every new episode, you can easily promote your favorite ClickFunnels funnel. That way, every time you launch a new Podcast you give yourself a great opportunity to generate leads.
Now your Podcast is armed to help generate leads, and you’re putting your content marketing efforts in full gear!
You can also plug your marketing funnels, lead magnets, or lead generation funnels in the description of your Podcast, so you have plenty of nifty options for getting the word out about your content.
# 2 – Turn Your Blog Posts And Podcast Episodes Into YouTube Videos!
A ton of friends and colleagues ask me if YouTube or Podcasts are a better content marketing method when it comes to lead generation. My answer is always the same; why not consider both?
I think that the more content you publish on social media, on YouTube, via your blog, and via Podcasts the better! Publish as much as possible. That way, you put more hooks in the water and allow your content to reach more people. You can then plug your lead magnets, your ClickFunnels funnels, your lead generation funnels, or any marketing funnel right within your video.
Repurposing your content is genius! Because if you already go through the trouble of recording a Podcast, then the only thing you need is a nifty PowerPoint presentation for your video component. You can also use the Headliner App to easily transform your Podcast content into a beautiful video fit for YouTube publishing.
Have you noticed that every guru has a YouTube channel these days? A few years ago, it seemed like only a small handful of brands and authorities used YouTube. Now, it seems like YouTube is mandatory for content marketing!
The good news is that if you already publish blog content, then transforming your blog posts into Podcast content and YouTube videos are elementary and straightforward. I’ve always proposed that writing the original blog post content is the most challenging part. Once your blog content is written, you can then use an app like Audacity to record your content. You can then upload your content to your favorite Podcast host!
You could also repurpose that audio content into a video using apps like the Headliner App or Camtasia. Once your video is finished, commence uploading your fresh video onto YouTube, Vimeo, Wistia, Amazon S3, or the video host of your liking.
# 3 – Include A Massive Call To Action Inside Every Blog Post!
If you’re going to write fresh blog posts regularly, then one of the most natural ways to promote your lead magnet is to sprinkle lead magnet and marketing funnel promotions throughout your content.
There are a few ways you can plug your marketing funnel within the blog content itself. One thing that I love is to ensure that I promote my lead magnets on every page on my blog. You can promote your lead magnet in your navigational menu, after your blog post content, or even within the content itself.
Promoting your email newsletter or marketing funnel within your blog post content is much easier than you think. For example, you can click here to register for my email newsletter. The first edition email newsletter contains a ton of bonus marketing goodies that you’ll love.
You can also use websites like Canva to help design beautiful banners, calls to action, promotional graphics, and other nifty blog artwork to help advertise your lead magnets.
# 4 – Launch A Welcome Bar!
When you look at the top of my blog, you’ll notice that I have a massive banner front and center located at the top of my blog.
Even if you’re on a mobile device, you’ll notice the massive welcome bar promoting whatever I wish. The banner always starts at the front and center, which I love. This is probably my top generator of clicks on my blog. The reason that welcome bars rock is that you can advertise anything that you like in one of your blog’s premium locations; front and center.
If you’re hosting a webinar, launching a book, promoting an affiliate link, or driving traffic to your squeeze page, welcome bars are a blogger’s best friend.
I use a StudioPress theme that inserts welcome bars on my blog automatically. If your WordPress theme doesn’t support in a welcome bar, you can use welcome bar services like AddThis to deploy a welcome bar without additional coding required.
# 5 – Promote Your Lead Magnet Or Marketing Funnel With A Popup Advertisement!
Okay fine. I’ll admit that nobody likes popup ads! That said, if you want to promote your lead magnets, webinar registration pages, or email list building funnels on your blog, then a well-planned popup advertisement is tough to beat.
You can use services like AddThis to build a popup advertisement if you want. You can also find a variety of WordPress plugins like OptinMonster or Thrive Leads to help generate beautiful looking popup advertisements that won’t offend, annoy, or obstruct your blog reader’s privacy or end-user experience.
