7 Awesome Advertising Networks For Email Marketers
Are you an email marketer who wants to build your email list?
Or maybe you keep hearing how awesome and powerful email marketing can be, but you have no clue how to actually generate leads?
If that’s the case then this blog is for you; we’re about to brainstorm 7 of my favorite advertising networks that are perfect for advertising your opt-in funnel, or lead capture page.
The best part is that these advertising networks can work for you even if your budget isn’t the biggest in the world, because I know how depressing it can be when you have awesome content, but you don’t have the budget to pay $10 or $20 per click!
Rant aside, here are some awesome advertising networks that you may never have heard of:
Advertising Network # 1 – Udimi
Udimi is an awesome solo ad marketplace that’s literally stuffed with a ton of email newsletter owners who want to sell you an ad for relatively cheap.
As a long-time solo ad geek (lol), I have to list Udimi first.
Udimi is the world’s premier solo ad marketplace, which means that you can register for a free account and then begin checking out all of the solo ad vendors who are selling advertising packages.
If you have no idea what any of this means (lol), then solo ads, simply put, are simply email advertising.
Udimi, being a solo ad marketplace, brings together email newsletter publishers (solo ad vendors), and email advertisers (solo ad buyers).
So, in other words, there are email marketers on Udimi.com who would love to sell you a solo ad.
Solo ads are relatively cheap (about 50 cents to a dollar per click) and solo ad packages are typically sold in intervals of 50 or 100 clicks.
There’s one massive caveat with solo ads, and that caveat is regarding the niche of the average solo ad email list — most of these lists are in very mainstream niches such as “internet marketing”, “business opportunity”, “fat loss”, “dating” and other very mainstream niches.
So, if you for example own a restaurant in New York City and you want to generate leads to try your awesome dinner specials, then solo ads are definitely NOT your cup of tea.
If, however, you publish an email newsletter that teaches internet marketing, or how to find work at home opportunities, then solo ads might be your cup of tea.
Advertising Network # 2 – Opt-Intelligence
Opt-Intelligence is a very powerful service that will literally generate leads on your behalf.
You simply tell Opt-Intelligence about your email newsletter and what types of leads you want, and they’ll do the rest.
You can even target your leads based upon their location, so if you have a local business then this might be a cool way to get the word out about your business.
This is absolutely perfect if you already have a powerful email newsletter setup, and literally want to “inject” your email campaign with fresh and targeted leads.
The way it works is simple; Opt-Intelligence is in the business of lead generation, it’s something that they do every single day.
When you decide that you want Opt-Intelligence to help generate leads for your email newsletter, they will literally show YOUR ad to their own leads as part of their lead generation sequence.
In other words, when Opt-Intelligence generates their own leads, they also invite those leads to join your email newsletter as well.
This kind of process is often referred to as “co-registration”, because the new lead is invited to join several email newsletters during the same sequence.
Opt-Intelligence boasts a very impressive client list, and they know how to generate leads and lots of them.
Opt-Intelligence is also very inexpensive, and the prices are largely defined by what type of information you require on your lead.
For example, if you request only the lead’s IP address and email address, then the leads are relatively cheap. If however you require more information, such as name or telephone number, then the leads are more expensive.
If this sounds at all interesting, then I advise you to contact Opt-Intelligence to see if your business idea and if your email newsletter would be a good match.
Advertising Network # 3 – BuySellAds
BuySellAds is one of the coolest and biggest banner advertising networks that I’ve ever come across after studying this nerdy IT and media world thoroughly.
If you want to promote your lead capture page, your squeeze page, or your email marketing funnel, then all you need to get going here is a cool looking banner and a little bit of elbow grease to conduct some research!
The way this advertising network operates is very simple.
BuySellAds has a marketplace of very popular websites that sell banner ad slots.
So, you can browse the BuySellAds marketplace, find a cool website that matches your own demographics (or ideal audience) and then see how much an ad spot costs.
The advertising prices are quite reasonable on BuySellAds, though it’s important to remember that ALL advertising networks are never a guarantee, and one never knows what has potential until it’s put to the test.
BuySellAds also has a bunch of other advertising mediums, and in my opinion they’re a really cool advertising network worthy of checking out.
Advertising Network # 4 – Nationwide Advertising
Nationwide Advertising, in my humble opinion, is the single best and most important offline advertising platform on the internet.
It’s so easy to overlook the world of offline ads, with the rise of digital marketing, however, I honestly think that if offline ads is something that you want to consider, then Nationwide Advertising is one of the best around.
The main thing I love about Nationwide Advertising, is that they offer a huge inventory of cheap advertising, and they also offer cheap online ads.
In fact, their inventory is so massive that I would advise you to at the very least check out what they have to offer; they’re always running cheap discounts and advertising specials.
Another reason why I love this resource, is because I think it’s a cool throwback to the advertising legends of old. When I first studied the art and science of advertising, I learned from the old school marketing books of old, namely a legendary book called “Scientific Advertising”.
The cool thing about Scientific Advertising, and the legendary books of old, is that all of their advertising efforts were outside of the digital realm. The legendary marketers of yesteryear arguably crafted the art and science of copywriting, so I find this throwback marketing medium to be quite fascinating, nostalgic, and interesting.
Advertising Network # 5 – Bing Ads
Bing is one of the largest search engines around, around, and Bing Ads is a segment of Bing who will happily sell you some clicks for relatively cheap money.
Of all the large advertising networks, I think that Bing is the most underrated, which is why I’m going to include it here.
The cool thing about Bing Ads, is that they offer awesome support, often times they have free coupons of special discounts, and they also can offer you an absolutely huge amount of website traffic.
So, whether you’re promoting your lead capture page, your squeeze page, your webinar funnel, or absolutely any type of marketing campaign, you can be sure that Bing can provide to you literally unfathomable quantities of traffic (lol).
I’ve literally hit the jackpot with some amazing Bing Ads coupons over the years, so my advice is to contact their support to ask if they have any deals for new advertisers, or to otherwise search the internet to see if they are currently running any promotions.
Advertising Network # 6 – Quora For Business
Quora For Business is another hugely underrated advertising network, and there are a few reasons why I’m a huge fan.
Quora is in general one of my favorite websites for brainstorming content ideas for my blog, my email newsletter, and other content.
If you’re not familiar with Quora, it’s basically a huge question and answer website where very real people ask questions, and then experts (to a varying degree) chime in and answer those questions.
So why is this so powerful? Well, you can visit Quora, enter a few different keywords, and then you’ll be able to see very real questions and frustrations that people in your niche market have.
Not only is this great for researching content ideas, but you can also use Quora For Business to serve your ads to your ideal prospects at the exact time when they are asking (or researching) about the exact topics that you can help them with.
So if you have an awesome lead magnet that can help your prospects, then definitely consider checking out Quora Ads!
Advertising Network # 7 – Google Ads
Google Ads is of course one of, if not the largest advertising network on the planet!
This is great news for email marketers, newsletter publishers, or anyone who wants to generate leads.
The reason why Google rocks, is because they can definitely send you as much traffic as you want, and since Google is a tremendously popular website, you can be relatively certain that your ideal prospects are indeed on this network.
As always, I definitely advise you to search around for Google Ads promotions, Google Ads coupons, or to see if their homepage is advertising any coupons for new users.
Thanks So Much For Checking This Out! You Rock!
I want to thank you so much for reading this blog post!
Before I wrap this up, I would like to give you a few important pointers that I have learned after studying the art and science of advertising.
The first thing, is to always remember who your end users are, and what they want.
If you know who your prospects are, and what they want, then it’s going to be infinitely easier for you to communicate to them in a way that makes an impact.
Additionally, make sure that you have a solid followup plan!
The very worst thing you can do, is spend all of this focus, and effort generating email leads — and then never followup with them!
Make sure to spend time planning a beautiful followup campaign, so that you at least give yourself a chance to succeed in your lead generation efforts.
Finally, and this is probably the most important advertising lesson of all time; you never know if your advertising creatives are feasible at all, until you test.
Your ideal prospects and audience decide what works, not us! Our opinions mean absolutely nothing.
Obviously, paid advertising is risky, so I advise you to only go down this route if you’re willing to undergo risk, and if you realize that there are no guarantees in advertising.
The only thing that we, the small business owner can do, is test marketing creatives in order to better determine what ads have feasibility, and which don’t.
Never let anyone tell you this is easy; it’s trickier than heck.
The entire advertising process requires a boatload of effort, grit, scientific analysis, split testing, and of course a neverending supply of luck!
That being said, I do wish you the utmost best, and remind you that you can always contact me if you wish to brainstorm more on this topic.
Until then, please have a great day!
Cordially and humbly…
Mike “The Ad Network” DeVincent
