5 Smart Ways To Promote Your Sales Funnel On Your Blog
Are you a blogger who is interested in promoting your sales funnel on your blog? Because, these days Sales Funnels are more and more popular, and brainstorming where you can promote your funnel is such a popular topic.
If you’ve ever wanted to dive deeper into how you can advertise your sales funnels, or even your lead capture pages or your email newsletter, then this blog post is for you because I’m put forth a ton of effort brainstorming these ideas.
Promoting Your Sales Funnel On Your Blog Idea # 1 – Within A Welcome Bar
A welcome bar is the top bar that you see on the top of many blogs these days.
I honestly think that having a welcome bar on your blog is easily one of the bet ways that you can promote just about anything, especially your sales funnel.
The reason why I’m personally a huge fan of the traditional welcome bar, is because every single page on your blog showcases the welcome bar. This way, if someone happens upon your blog via a search engine click, a social media click, a direct referral, or if they find your content via word of mouth, they will all see the welcome bar. In other words, it doesn’t matter how the end user happens upon your site, they’re going to see your welcome bar.
Another reason why welcome bars rock, is because they’re front and center, and you can often design them to stand out with a high contrast color, and a very big call to action.
If you’re not sure how to implement a Welcome Bar, I recommend checking out StudioPress Themes, because a few of their Themes have an awesome Welcome Bar that isn’t JavaScript based, so even an AdBlocker won’t block the welcome bar, which is a huge feature and bonus.
(Some Welcome Bar widgets I’ve used are JavaScript based, which means that some AdBlockers and Script Blockers will actually hide them, which is another reason that StudioPress Themes are cool).
Rant aside, there are also a bunch of third party Welcome Bar plugins that you can try, and there are third party services (such as AddThis) that can help you with a cool looking Welcome Bar.
Promoting Your Sales Funnel On Your Blog Idea # 2 – In Your Sidebar Widget
Traditional Sidebar Widgets have easily been one of the best places for me personally to promote my sales funnel, or even some of my favorite affiliate offers (and their accommodating sales funnel lol).
The reason why Sidebar Widgets rock, is because you can strategically promote just about any offer that you want, and similar to a Welcome Bar, your Sidebar Widget will show up on all of your blog posts, making it a premium piece of advertising real estate.
If you’re not sure how to design awesome banners for your Sidebar Widgets, definitely check out Canva, because they make designing beautiful graphics surprisingly simple, and they have a ton of 100% free banner templates that you can experiment with.
Promoting Your Sales Funnel On Your Blog Idea # 3 – As An Exit Intent Popup
An Exit Intent Popup is a banner that popups when your website visitor moves their mouse as if they were going to exit your website.
Unlike the oldschool “exit popups” of old, an Exit Intent Popup isn’t invasive, and your end user can easily close out of it or simply ignore the exit pop if they wish.
In any event, an Exit Intent Popup can allow you to promote your Sales Funnel, Lead Capture Page, your Email List, or absolutely anything that you want.
AddThis.com is a really cool service that can help you design and deploy your Exit Intent Popup without any stress or coding skills, so they’re a service that I always recommend to blogging friends and colleagues.
Promoting Your Sales Funnel On Your Blog Idea # 4 – After Your Blog Posts
One of the smartest ways to promote your sales funnel, in my opinion, is by simply adding a “PS” note at the end of your blog posts.
These days, with the Gutenberg editor, it’s so easy to insert a beautiful call to action within a brightly colored box, so you can easily add a really cool pitch at the end of your content.
That way, if your reader enjoys your content, hopefully they’ll consider learning more about your offer, and click on your link.
Another reason I’m a huge fan of StudioPress, is because many of their themes make it super easy to insert content after your blog posts via a widget. This way, I don’t have to manually insert a call to action after each post, and I could simply add a static call to action by using this widget area.
So I can insert a custom script, a custom link, a banner ad, or just about anything else I want simply by using a handy WordPress widget. StudioPress rocks, and I recommend that all blogging nerds at least check out some of their themes!
Promoting Your Sales Funnel On Your Blog Idea # 5 – Within Your Blog Content Itself
Another really cool way to promote your sales funnel, is simply with inline content right within your blog content.
In other words, simply insert a call to action using plain old text, within your very blog content.
There are two main strategies that I’m aware of to accomplish this.
The first strategy is to have a plain and clear call to action that promotes your Sales Funnel. The other strategy is to refer to your Sales Funnel or Product whenever the topic comes up organically in your blog content.
So maybe in the middle of your blog post, you can strategically insert a link letting your audience know about your new product launch, your new book, your new automated webinar, or whatever type of marketing funnel you want to promote.
Or, you could simply nonchalantly add a link to your product whenever it makes sense to do so.
The Main Strategy That Can Help To Promote Your Sales Funnel On Your Blog?
I honestly think, that the most important strategy for any type of blog, is to create awesome blog content that people appreciate in the first place.
When you create amazing content that your readers appreciate and enjoy, then naturally people will be more likely to love your content, and they’ll probably be more likely to click on your recommended products and services, right?
So, my advice is to always focus on creating awesome content that’s designed to help your ideal prospects!
Ask yourself what topics your readers could benefit the most from! Ask yourself, how can you best serve your audience with amazing content.
All of these things, in my opinion, help contribute to an awesome blogging ecology that you could be proud over the long-haul, regardless of what niche your blog is in.
It takes a lot of hard work to maintain a blog. So, my philosophy is that, if you blog ,you may as well try your best to create awesome stuff, and don’t forget to promote your offers along the way!
