That’s why I’m constantly brainstorming fresh sales funnel ideas. Because without a consistent stream of leads, it’s nearly impossible to thrive in our preposterously-competitive marketing landscape!
Let’s brainstorm 5 smart sales funnel ideas for consultants in nearly any niche.

Why I Love These Sales Funnel Ideas For Consultants
Whether you want to generate leads, build your brand, or aggressively promote your consulting offer, there’s a marketing funnel idea for you.
Let’s take a much closer look into these nifty sales funnel and marketing funnel ideas for consultants.
# 1 – Webinar Marketing Funnel
Webinar funnels are one of my favorite consulting funnels because they help you to generate leads, build authority, tell your story, and sell.
You can easily automate your webinar funnel using tools like ClickFunnels, Demio, or EasyWebinar. Automation takes the edge off recording a live webinar which is another reason that I’m a big fan. Automation makes the webinar process much easier and less stressful!
If you’re not sure how to launch the perfect webinar presentation, then the first step is to think of a fantastic webinar topic. Try your best to think of some brilliant presentations or speech topics that your potential consulting client would love. Here’s a big question to ask. What’s a topic that you can teach that would also allow you to naturally transition into a sales pitch? Food for thought!
# 2 – Survey Funnel
A survey funnel is the perfect consulting funnel for screening your consulting prospects and segmenting them based upon their responses. By the time you follow up with your prospect, you know a little about their situation and you can craft your response accordingly.
If you’ve read many of my blog posts, then you know I’m a huge fan of data. Survey funnels provide data, which is beautiful.
If you’re a busy consultant, then a survey funnel is tremendously powerful because they can save you time. Instead of screening prospects on the phone, you can let the answers that your prospects submit via your survey funnel identify your prime clients. That way, you can follow up with your consulting clients with the right message.
# 3 – Hero Funnel
When it comes to consulting funnels, hero funnels are up there as some of the most flexible and unique.
Hero funnels are perfect if you want to brand yourself and your business. A hero funnel puts you front and center and lets you tell your story, showcase testimonials, and get personal with your brand.
You can showcase your best portfolio projects, social profiles, and your best branding content. You can even promote your books, webinars, blog posts, or any other content that you wish. You’re only limited by your creativity.
Why are your stories and your brand so important? That way, your prospective consulting client knows about who you are, and hopefully, they’ll grow to know and like you. Trust is everything in the world of consulting, and if you’ve delivered results for clients in the past, show them off!
# 4 – Book Funnel
Books are some of the smartest ways to share your message with the world. Experts in every niche market have been publishing books and pamphlets as branding assets for decades, even centuries!
That’s why I’m a huge fan of book funnels for consultants. Not only are books timeless, but they’re still a great way to spread the word about your business.
Also remember, that you can promote your consulting offer throughout your book’s content. You can also promote your consulting services on the book’s download page, on your book’s thank you page, or within your book’s membership area.
The power of a product funnel (like a book funnel) is massive. You can creatively plug a call to action throughout your content in any way that you wish.
You can also followup with your book buyers via email marketing to let them know about your fantastic consulting services.
# 5 – Reverse Squeeze Page Funnel
A reverse squeeze page funnel is like a regular lead capture page, with one major difference. For a reverse squeeze page funnel, the idea is to pre-qualify your lead before they subscribe. The goal is to collect only super-targeted leads who know they want what you offer.
Therefore, on your lead capture page, you could feature a video with a call to action or opt-in under the video. That way, you can showcase your video tutorial, video introduction, or even sales pitch to entice your leads to learn more about your consulting offers.
Sales Funnel Ideas For Consultants FAQ
I’d love to brainstorm some of the most popular consulting funnel questions that you may encounter in your marketing endeavors.
# 1 – How Can Consultants Generate Fresh Leads?
Once you have a competent consulting funnel up and running, then the name of the game is to promote your funnel everywhere that you can.
It’s just like promoting anything else. There’s nothing new under the sun. For example, I love to promote my email newsletter funnel on my blog and in digital books these days. The reason these are two of my favorite methods is that I love to write! I leverage my adoration for the written word and use that fondness to build my email newsletter.
What about you? Do you love to write? Or teach? Or, maybe you have a profound gift of gab? Do you have a blog? What about social media channels, Podcasts, YouTube content, or digital assets that you could leverage to help promote your lead magnet?
# 2 – What’s The Best App To Build A Consulting Funnel?
It depends! There are many beautiful options. I’ve been building websites for a preposterously long time! (Since High School, which was a long time ago.) My point is that these days, building websites has never been more straightforward. Countless popular page builders can help you to launch a fantastic marketing funnel.
For marketing funnels, I’m a huge fan of ClickFunnels due to their ease of use and templates. However, you have nearly endless options to consider and ClickFunnels isn’t your only choice.
If you love WordPress and aren’t afraid of a little tinkering, then Thrive Architect is also beautiful and worthy of experimentation. I’ve used Thrive Architect on this blog for years to build email funnels, sales funnels, video pages, and other cool stuff that I’m likely forgetting.
GetResponse is another popular marketing page builder that’s been around for a long time and their reputation is solid. Plus, GetResponse has been adding more sales funnels features as of late, so they’re worth checking out and considering.
# 3 – Does Content Marketing Work For Consultant Funnels?
Yes! With the ridiculously high cost of advertising, I love content marketing more and more for all small business owners. You have so many content marketing avenues compared to just a few years ago.
It seems like there’s a massive new social media network launching every year for crying out loud. Not to mention the recent explosion of Podcast popularity! To be frank, there are so many different content marketing methods that you can use.
My advice is simple. Choose a platform that you love, and then hustle to create fantastic content. Study your ideal consulting client, and then work hard brainstorming smart content ideas that could help them.
If you like to write? Then launch a blog! If you have tons of charisma, then consider launching a YouTube channel. If you have the gift of gab? Then an interview Podcast might be a great idea. Play your strengths.
Then, during your content, let your fans and audience know about your lead magnet, your marketing funnel, and your consulting offer. Don’t be hesitant to include a call to action! Otherwise, your content marketing efforts may be for naught.
# 4 – Does Local Marketing Work For Consultant Funnels?
Yes! Now that the internet has become unfathomably popular and widespread, it’s easy to forget the local business associations available to my fellow Americans in their local communities.
Firstly, check your hometown’s business website (or call) to check if they have local business meetups, a chamber of commerce, or other business associations where you can network with like-minded professionals.
If your consulting business offers consulting to small businesses, then introducing yourself to such networks is never a bad idea, and may even result in increased authority and brand recognition in your local community.
Also, check to see if there are any SBA (Small Business Administration) meetups in your local area. If you wish to introduce yourself to fellow entrepreneurs and business owners in your area, then the SBA offers some exceptional events and networking opportunities that you should consider!
Whenever you attend an event, make sure that you have a stack of business cards that showcase the URL of your consulting funnel! Your business card could promote a webinar funnel, a survey funnel, a hero funnel, or any consulting funnel that looks impressive.
# 5 – Does Email Marketing Work For Consultants?
Yes! I’m a firm believer that email marketing is still one of the best methods to help promote just about anything. The beauty of email marketing is that you can automate your followup campaign so that it works on your behalf without any ongoing stress.
Even if you’re on a budget, you can still find a handful of email autoresponder tools that are inexpensive or even free to try.
Another big advantage of email automation is that you get the data. In other words, you can analyze your email autoresponder statistics to help determine which emails are working, and which ones aren’t performing well.
